Excellent reopening of a local Kegworth pub. Hopefully the locals will get behind the new owners and support them through their bar and restaurant. Well done. Good to see positivity.

Cozy pub with great food. Looking for a pub/restaurant near East Midlands airport, as I was dropping family around 5ish, we found this…and we were extremely satisfied! Food was fantastic, delicious. One of the best Sunday roasts I had lately. Service very friendly. If you have a chance, I’d highly recommend it. And you can walk around before/after near the riverside.

Would definitely recommend visiting when in the area, I’ve been a handful of times and everything has been very well priced. Sunday lunch was 2 courses for £18 and was really good! Portions were very generous and food was fresh and piping hot. Took a little while for the food to come out so I do not recommend if you are in a time crunch

What a lovely little pub. We stopped by as we were travelling through. Sunday lunch was superb plenty to eat and piping hot. Staff were very friendly and they even put my meat(as there was loads) into a small container for my dog. A lovely little gem

Fabulous food! Steak Diane was perfectly cooked and of a standard you'd expect from a high class restaurant. Freshly prepared and well presented. A warm welcome and a real fire. Service was first class. Highly recommend.

Outstanding food! In Kegworth visiting family. On local recommendation, booked a table for a meal this evening. On arrival, The Anchor looks like a pretty run of the mill pub. Don’t be fooled or put off… The young lady behind the bar was friendly and engaging. A few locals drinking in the bar. Ordered a pint of Guinness, which was excellent. There is a very comprehensive menu, and a selection of really different and interesting “Specials”. We chose Chicken breast stuffed with Feta and spinach, and the Seafood Mornay. Served with a lovely selection of seasonal vegetables. All cooked from scratch to order, so expect a bit of a wait for your meal. Be patient, its worth it! We will definitely be back for more.

Great food here, a great chef making everything from scratch at very reasonable prices...we tried deep fried brie, luxurious prawn cocktail, fresh battered fish, chips and mushy peas and an anchor burger with pulled pork, what's not to like...we arrived on a Wednesday, student night I think, a little noisy but we just moved inside where it was quiet. We received a lovely welcome from the owner and the young team supporting him, staff were very enthusiastic but need a bit of time to develop their knowledge and rhythm waiting on tables of food while the pub is busy. We've already booked for Sunday dinner....looking forward to it.
