   Went to try out the new food offering by Tarboush, at the red and weren’t disappointed. Delicious, fresh and tasty, we had a variety of dips, pitta, halloumi, spicy chicken parcels and the chicken shawarma wrap was the highlight!! Casual vibes and a nice addition to one of our favourite drinking pubs.

   Arrived for a drink and hoped to watch the womens football. The man said they were not putting it on which was absolutely fine but he said it in a severely rude way and laughed at us. Glad to know that the main managers of the red lion are sexist and have poor customer service skills.

   Great selection of well kept cask ales, and keg beers. Many unspoilt original features, good service and friendly atmosphere. Large car park and outdoor drinking area. It's on the Skylink bus route.

   A really good local pub with good bar food and a wide range of beer at reasonable prices. They make an effort to do live entertainment and the owners always say hello. Dog friendly and worth a visit.

   Having visited a few times over the years was disappointed that the food is now limited to burgers and chips and not available lunchtimes. A reasonable choice of ales, but pub is not so cosy after refit a few years back.

   Friend organised a walk with a R/L lunch stop. He had rang before hand and understood that a simple menu would be available at lunch time. When we arrived the barmaid informed us NO food. Could we go and purchase a sandwich to eat it with our beer - NO. Could we purchase a sandwich and eat outside with our beer - NO. Will we be returning and sampling more of the excellent beer -NO
