A pleasant farm shop and cafe. Lots of nice fresh produce in the shop and a reasonable sized cafe make this a nice place to visit. Food is tasty with a good selection of full size meals and light bites. Service with a smile if not a touch slow at times. I'll certainly visit again.

Nice location. Cafe and restuarant are warm and cosy. The farm shop has an excellent range of produce. The lunchtime menu is limited and expensive. But that said a pleasant place to take coffee and cake.

I arrived towards the end of the Saturday lunch rush and the cafe was busy. A cabinet full of delicious looking homemade cakes entertained me while they cleared a table for 1. The friendly staff made it clear there would be a 15 minute wait for food which I was happy with since it was clear they were cooking to order. First up, a pot of excellent loose leaf English breakfast tea. Recommended. They had run out of the home made lasagne, so I ordered the home made faggots with colcannon and crispy sage and onion gravy. There was no additional veg served beyond the cabbage in the colcannon so you might want to consider adding a salad or seasonal veg. The faggots were home made and the base mix of pork shoulder and liver was well seasoned and well judged. However it was so dry; dry enough that no amount of the excellent gravy could rescue them. There is a reason faggots are traditionally wrapped on caul fat or bacon. If that would put costs up too much, the kitchen should consider consider using a panarde ( bread soaked in milk) which would help retain moisture. As it is, this is simply not their dish. Sadly, I could not face desert after wards, though they looked delicious. I could see some great cooking on other tables as well as those delicious looking deserts. I'll be back, but not for the faggots.

We booked for a 1pm lunch as were told can be very busy, and they were! Very attentive and friendly staff. Top quality food, all homemade, with good serving portions. Good tea and coffee, with a generous size tea pot! The puddings are fantastic. I can recommend the cornflake tart with custart or ice cream. There is a little farm shop there and the pricing was very reasonable which resulted in us taking a few items home for another day. (A lot of farm shops I’ve visited can be very, very expensive). Carparking in a little car park at the front just off the road. It is some what limited, but road parking is possible. The facilities are modern, clean and kept in good condition. It’s a really nice place to eat looking out at the ponies in the manège. Ideal for anyone who loves ponies. Dogs are welcome at the seating outside, there are quit a few places to chose from. Some under cover. We’ll definitely return. Can recommend.

What a brilliant first visit. We visited for Mother's Day Sunday lunch and also to celebrate a family birthday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and accommodating. The food was superb - between our party we tried most of the options, including 1 of the 2 vegetarian choices. The surprise birthday cake was spectacular and the complimentary Mother's Day gifts thoughtful. We will absolutely be back, hopefully many times! Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Food was absolutely amazing! We love our food and we ordered poached eggs on toast with bacon, full English and smoked salmon on bagels. The eggs was absolutely insane, so runny and fresh. Every item was cooked beautifully. The dining area is beautifully decorated with a rustic feel, fits perfectly with the barn it’s situated in. The farm shop is very good value and the smoked Red Leicester cheese is definitely worth purchasing! Thank you for our lovely morning.

Lovely place. Well equipped Farm Shop with butchers serving up some great looking meat, a fresh veg section, bread and flour area, and hot food. Try the Scotch egg which is pretty good and slightly different. Restaurant is very nice with an outside and inside seating area which overlooks the riding school area. Breakfast was very nice albeit a little stingey with the one slice of bacon. Paid an extra £ for the Black pudding too, so for 8.95 the portion was a little one. Staff are friendly, restaurant is clean selection of food and presentation are excellent. Car parking is plentiful with a little walk to the restaurant. Have earmarked the butchers for Christmas Dinner shopping list.

We visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast. They were busy so you need to book a table before going. The staff were friendly and service was good. The menu had a good choice of food. Plus lots of cakes to choose from. There is also a lovely farm shop and a riding school on site. Will visit again thank you
