Fantastic pub! Made a last minute booking for 6 adults and 2 children, the staff were very accommodating and made room for us. The Sunday roast was one of the best I've had for a long time - and very reasonably priced. 100% recommend

Beautiful food. A real delight, we would love to go back and try more dishes. Lovely music. Freezing cold pub though. We asked if they would Light fire but was told there wasn’t enough people in pub to warrant putting it on!? The fire was set to light and had a full scuttle of coal next to it but despite the fact we were spending approx Β£90 on lunch they refused to ensure we were warm. In my mind if it’s a warm pub more people would come and stay for longer, wouldn’t they? An English pub should be warm in the winter. Coal isn’t expensive and I think they’d make more in food and drink sales if they set the ambiance and temperature right. It was a shame as the lunch was divine and the young waitress was very attentive. Pleased we found it. We will be back but maybe in the spring when it’s a bit warmer!

This is our local pub, and it never fails to impress. We’ve been coming since we moved to the village, and we’re never disappointed with the food or the drink. We regularly eat with our toddler and the staff are great with him. The menu is varied, offering everything from hearty classics to lighter, seasonal dishes β€” there’s truly something for everyone. The Sunday lunch, though, is the real highlight. Perfectly cooked meats, generous portions, and all the trimmings make it one of the best around. It’s the kind of meal that keeps you coming back week after week! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently great food β€” our favourite spot, hands down.

Nothing short of Wow. The food has been nothing short of amazing this evening. The staff have been wonderful. Would totally recommend to everyone. The sticky toffee pudding I would give 10 out of 10 . For those who have read other reviews of mine I love my sticky toffee puddings and this one is now on the top of my list!

Great cosy traditional pub and restaurant. Food was beautiful with good table service. Must recommend the dessert lemon cheesecake, raspberry sorbet with scattered fresh raspberries. Divine

Genuinely lovely food, albeit expensive - unfortunately we went on Mother's Day (appreciate it was very busy), but as soon as we sat down we were told that we needed to be finished by a certain time and reminded of this throughout our meal. This completely ruined our experience and we were rushed and treated as a real inconvenience even though we had 2 courses and were not slow in eating our meals. Had to question the integrity of the establishment to make money and their ability to schedule - as opposed to ensuring a positive dining and celebration experience. They also hit us with 2 lots of cover charges - whatever that was supposed to be - so check your bill carefully as there were a few diners around us with incorrect bills and stealth charges.

We haven't been to The Bulls Head for nearly 50 years. Of course it has changed hands and no doubt many times. But the experience was superb. Fabulous food and drink served by fantastic staff. We'll be back.

I popped in for dinner and the staff were very friendly and I ordered the Shepherds pie which was amazing and after chatting to the chef about other menu items I returned on the Friday and ordered the King prawn tomato and chilli linguine which he made with a smooth sauce as I don’t like all the lumps and asked how much spice I wanted. It was incredible and the focaccia bread was perfect for cleaning up the plate. I treated myself to a pudding and the vanilla panna cotta with chilli and cardamom pineapple with home made brandy snap was delicious and presented beautifully. Cannot recommend enough.
