   My order arrived over an hour and half late when I phoned the restaurant I was told only 2 drivers on tonight and my driver had left sometime ago with 5 orders going to as far as bakewell and nottingham and that it was on its way. Food was only warm when it finally arrived and the chips were soggy and gone to mush. I understand they are busy but maybe stop taking orders so far out its not fair on the paying customers.

   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Afrikana restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience worthy of a five-star review. The highlight of my visit was the THIC Chick buttermilk chicken burger, which was nothing short of spectacular. The flavours were excellently balanced and the presentation was outstanding, making the dish a delight not only to taste but also to behold. Accompanying the burger, I opted for the plain chips, which were cooked to perfection. However, I also had the chance to sample the Afrikana chips from my wife's plate and was impressed by their delightful seasoning. I wholeheartedly recommend opting for these seasoned chips as they add a wonderful flavour dimension to the meal. The atmosphere at Afrikana was vibrant and inviting, with Afro music providing a smooth and energetic backdrop to the dining experience. Overall, Afrikana restaurant offers a fantastic culinary journey that blends great food and a lively ambiance, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors alike.

   I went for a quick bite Friday night and it was so good. I had the fish bun, okra fries (last fingers) and a fanta. It was so delicious and the service was really friendly and quick. I will go back any opportunity I get. Yum yum yum

   We had a lovely lunch here today. We had the sharing platter and extra jollof rice. The hummus was the best I’ve ever had. The choice of sauces was a pleasant surprise too. THE AFRIKANA, and the mixed peri were my favourite. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful. A member even came outside to ask if I wanted to see a menu as I was struggling to see the one outside as it was to high up for me to see while sit in my wheelchair. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you.

   I cannot believe how good their mutton tasted. Truly authentic taste; I can't recall the last time I experienced this despite thousands of mutton dishes eaten over 50 years. Remarkable! The prices are reasonable and the staff friendly and efficient. I'll go back there anytime in Derby.

   Lovely food. Format is a bit like Nando's but you pay at the end. Prices are about the same too. No alcohol at these venues. Not a deal breaker. Would I come here again? YES!
