I have been wanting to go to Giggling squid Franham for a while finally got the opportunity to go. We went on a Thursday night , we didn't have reservation but still managed to find a table. Wound recommend to book as it was pretty busy even on a weekday. Staff were warm and friendly. Quick service and lovely ambience. Food also matched to my expectations - thoroughly enjoyed pork belly starter, papaya salad-spicy and tangy. Mains we had duck curry and crispy chicken with sides coconut rice and egg fried rice. Lovely satisfying meal and would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Had an amazing time at Giggling Squid! The staff were lovely and the food was absolutely delicious, as it always is. They are consistently great every time we've been. The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is lovely, and the decor is stunning.

I stopped in for a light dinner and was not disappointed. Service was on point throughout the meal. The pork cheeks were delightfully tender and the sauce plate-scrapingly good. I added the sticky rice to round out the dish, and this proved to be the perfect accompaniment. The dessert, although tasty, was not what I expected when I ordered a Salted Caramel Soufflé as it was not a soufflé but rather an ice cream sandwich type thing. They should change the description to be more apropos and not disappoint anyone who is waiting for a warm soufflé. (My absolute favourite dessert.)

Amazing lunch today! Came on a Sunday expecting it to be busy but it wasn’t too bad, beautiful restaurant stayed true to the historic building but modern and fresh. The food was delicious!

Whilst there aren't many choices for good dining in this town, Giggling Squid is by far the best and would hold its own in a place with far more competition. The ingredients are fresh, flavours are perfect, food well presented, reasonably priced for the quality, and service is excellent. Been here twice and both times a lovely experience. On lunch menus I would recommend going for a tapas, I once ordered the 'the big one' and portion was slightly smaller than expected, found myself envious of those around me who had greater variety and overall more food by opting for the tapas mix. However, I guess lunch isn't supposed to be too big and the All Day / Dinner menu does offer generous portion sizes. Recommended options for a perfect meal: start with mussels and salmon packets, lamb shank as a main and anything from the dessert menu. All chicken and lamb dishes are halal except for sticky chicken which uses cooking wine.

Loved the ambiance the service was good the washroom are clean as well . Lots of space around . Customer service awesome , very welcoming and assisting with other things as well . The food is good as per my point of view, I took spicy mango mosquito as a drink was happy with it . The place that we were sitting had a good view but there was dust around the flowers and cobweb which was not very pleasing

Really impressed with the quality of the food. We had a platter for two to start and then prawn pad Thai and melting beef w/rice as the main. They were all really delicious, but probably won’t go for the melting beef in summer as it’s quite rich. The menu has an interesting range of Thai food that I have not seen in other Thai restaurants before, so would definitely visit again. It’s reasonably priced and it was very busy even on a Sunday evening. The service was really good and the team made us feel welcomed

This is a restaurant where you really need to be careful. The interior is nice, but the food may contain something. Fortunately, the hair was found. removed. Although they didn't charge for the food the hair was found on. I have already finished eating. After that, my family paid the bill and left. And I checked. The dumplings selected for the lunch set were charged extra, and the shrimp crackers were also charged for dinner, not lunch. A woman who appears to be the owner? With an expression that seems to return it if there is a problem. 5 pounds returned. Of course, with a very annoyed look. It lacks the most important things in the service industry: cleanliness and accounting. On my way home, I donated £5 to a homeless person. The money is gone, but this dirty feeling will remain forever. I am writing a review after a long time. If you're looking for a good meal, you shouldn't look for hair or overpayment issues here.

We visited for lunch at the weekend. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We had never been before so we ordered quite a bit of food as we didn't know what we liked, Thai is a new thing for us. Our bill came to £60 which i thinks quite expensive for lunch, but it was a treat as we had a voucher. I liked the Tapas set lunch, and the prawn crackers, and roti were nice. It was quite busy and there wasnt any social distance between tables as such. I enjoyed the experience and would probably return.
