Its private but not dingy, the food is genuine thai and the best thing ive ever eaten, highly recomend the king prawn fried rice and fish cake starter, fish cakes like you have never known. Wasnt pressured to leave after eating very welcoming as we came through the door. Professional but not cold. Honestly its become one of my favourite places to go for food. Price is also brilliant and ypu get a good quanity of food.

Bangkok House is an absolute gem in Oxford. The moment you walk in, you feel the warmth of a place that is welcoming, genuine and focused on what really matters: incredible food and a relaxed atmosphere. No gimmicks, no pretence, just proper Thai cooking at its best. Every dish is packed with authentic flavour, perfectly balanced and beautifully cooked you can taste the freshness and passion in every bite. It’s the kind of food that instantly makes you want to come back. Stop wasting time at soulless Thai chain restaurants. If you haven’t tried Bangkok House yet, you are seriously missing out. This is the real deal and one of Oxford’s must-visit spots.

Pretty good. I was expecting it to be bad because there wasn’t much people when we went but once we got our food it got packed. The place is clean, decorations and environment was interesting and very exotic south Asian. A great place for groups. Plenty of space. Service was attentive and food appeared quickly. I really liked the chicken pad thai. Would definitely recommend!!!!!

Felt like I was transported back to Thailand. I had the Tom yum (hot and spicy soup) and it was authentic, I got the mushroom variation but felt that the mushrooms they used weren't suitable and did change the flavour of the Tom yum, but it was still really good. Also got the pad Thai and felt that the original flavours could have been stronger, perhaps it was adjusted to suit the local palette - still yummy tho. Had the Thai iced tea that didn't taste like Thai iced tea. But It tasted like very nice iced tea, so it was still good. Overall, quite authentic. Flavours could be abit stronger. But lovely place. Staff were friendly too.

Great food great environment. Always love their tables and chairs. Staff were very nice and friendly. Mix starter with the mini satay grill stand was good. Curry and crab fried rice were very good too. Steamed Thai style fish is slightly cold when served.

The reviews online are not wrong. The restaurant is centrally located in proximity to the train station. The ambience is lovely and traditional. The staff are gentle, kind, welcoming and attentive. The food portions are generous and well presented, arriving piping hot. The menu is extensive. The meal did not feel rushed at all. Despite it being a Saturday night - we stayed for almost 4 hours and did not feel pressured to end the dining experience even though the restaurant was full. I would recommend booking in advance. I would like to thank all the staff at this restaurant for such a lovely dining experience. Thank you!
