We went for a Sunday roast. we had the vegan Nut roasts, we are vegetarian and not vegan so we were given all the trimmings but we asked and they happily gave us them. The staff are really nice and the pub as a whole is very cosy. Has a dog friendly room and there is a nice circular walk you can do around the village
What a little gem of a place. Not a place we would book to stay at from the outside as on a busy road but the inside and its staff made up for that. Stayed for one night after.meeting local friends for a good hearty Sunday lunch at the Unicorn. Lovely succulent meat and.lots of veg, wonderful sticky toffee pudding and the prices of food and drink very reasonable. What made this a stand out place for us were the wonderful young staff who had time for everyone, wonderful senses of humour and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable, lovely superking size bed, ideal for a short stay we were in a seperate building to the pub, set back from the road. Breakfast (included in the room price) gave you a choice, we opted for a large and small full English, all of which was cooked and presented well, just as a full English should be. Certainly worth a trip back when we next visit our friends in Burton.
We absolutely adored this little gem the room was lovely and the staff were so helpful and lovely The food was delicious and a fantastic menu and lovely breakfast too The only thing I could recommend they do is put a mirror in the bedroom area of the family room
Fantastic food & service. Relaxed country pub, food delicious and service on point. Best pub roast around. Generous serving, reasonable price & came with cauli cheese included! With a decent stringy sauce too!
I had a lovely overnight stay at the Unicorn Inn when away on business. I was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member who showed me to my room and explained how everything worked. The room Elsa’s very comfy, well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and the WiFi was very good. Had a great stay thank you!
I’ve lived in this village for 4 years and seem 2 tenants come and go. The new ones have been here just under 12 months and this place has come on leaps and bounds in that time. The bar staff are cracking and the food is really nice, especially the Sunday Roasts and reasonably priced. We’ve had family stay in the accommodation and they were happy with the standard of the rooms
Had the perfect night away with my husband at The Unicorn. Literally everything was faultless. The food was incredible as was the service. All the staff were so lovely. Food came out quickly and was 1st class! Lovely cocktail menu too! So many to choose from! The hotel room was lovely and nicely furnished. Finally the breakfast was genuinely unforgettable! 10/10! Thank you to Hannah and all the other staff for a wonderful evening!
We visited for Sunday Lunch on 22nd January 2023, and it was most definitely worth it, the most delicious Carrots and cauliflower cheese, the roast potatoes were amazing. The roast beef was perfectly cooked. we could not fault it and have been recommending it since. We will be coming back. The best in the area.
I ate here recently with a large group, service was brilliant, very friendly staff, food was amazing and will definitely be returning in the future. Very clean venue and well looked after. Thank you for a lovely meal and look I look forward to coming back
Best Sunday dinner I’ve ever eaten! Returned for lunch time service with another family of 4 so there was 7 of us which was absolutely beautiful. You could taste that everything was cooked fresh to order, which you can totally appreciate waiting a little longer for as everything is so tasty! Highly recommend you try for Sunday Dinner, lunch and evening!
