Highly recommend the food is amazing and the service excellent. Our chosen restaurant for special occasions for a number of years now. And yesterday they went above and beyond to cater for 18 of us.
My wife and I have dined at Tiien several times and the food has always been fresh and tasty. Last night we went to celebrate my wife's birthday and without asking they brought out a lovely banana fritter desert for us. This was a very pleasant surprise! We had a great laugh with the older waiter who joked about how young she looked and how old I looked! (73yr) All the staff are friendly but you need to engage with them and they will join in and laugh with you. An excellent evening and highly recommend.
Nice food. Glad other reviewers experienced a great atmosphere because we didn't. No greeting and barely a smile during orders/service. Mains served but no cutlery. At about 9:15 advised kitchen closing so order desserts then or go without. By 9:30 it was clear they didn't want us there as clearing table while we were completing our meal. By 10:00 pm staff gone, lights off and owner just hanging around waiting for us to go. Disappointing considering we spent close to £400 for the group.
We were a table of four on Saturday evening. All had starters, main course and some of had desserts. Good choice of drinks and Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and food was very good, would definitely recommend. Very clean, Easy parking too.
The food is fantastic, very authentic and rich in flavour , really reminded us of. Thailand, great service and the place was spotless, unfortunately I couldn't take photos of the food but it was beautifully presented
Best Thai food around, hands down. It was quite quiet when we went but that made for faster service and quicker food. It was absolutely stunning.
Fabulous food and friendly service. Our first time #Tiien and will be back again From the really tasty prawn crackers, through the delicious starters to the superb mains, everything was wonderful Service was excellent without being pushed to buy extra drinks like many places do.
Hate posting this as I've been before and had fabulous food but last night the sharing starters were great. The prawn Pad Thai was greasy but one of our party enjoyed her Singapore noodles and curry was nice too. The service was excellent and wish they had come back to ask how main courses were like they did with the starters. I will go back as I have been before. Just an off night for that particular dish.
I visited Tiien Thai on Thursday 5 March 2020 in the evening, a weekday during term time. I was with five other people. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. I parked in the street nearby the restaurant - parking was easy. The restaurant comprises of one reasonably sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming - we got everything we ordered in good time and enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed a selection of shared starters including chicken satay, sweetcorn cakes, spring rolls and prawn crackers, a chicken and cashew nut stir fry with coconut rice for my main course and banana fritters for dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was reasonable value for money, I paid around £30 for three courses and drinks. We had a bit of a discussion around use of a discount offer - as this had not been mentioned at the time of booking it was not allowed but we were offered some discount instead - kind of spoilt the evening a little if I'm honest - either offer discounts or don't, why add T&C's like mention when booking, is it so they can reduce the portion sizes for you or something, just makes things look a little sinister but the environment was nice, food was good and the service otherwise was perfect so all in all a good night! Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would come and visit again.
