One of the best restaurants for Indian food in town. I settled down for Indian food at Salim's after trying pretty much all other main Indian restaurants in town. The staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommended.
Have always ordered takeout from here. But unfortunately our meal tonight wasn’t great. ordered chicken tikka jalfrezi. And the sauce was like tomato soup. No flavour. Also had chicken buhna with whole cherry tomatoes. Not the best meal we’ve had from there. Won’t order again
Received raw photo totally! Had a few bites and started feeling like to throw up. Threw everything away! They said its just dry but i could not even bite it or cut it? Can share videos as well if the restaurant wants to contact as no option to add on review. Very bad experience and worst food!
I like this place so far. The food was good and fresh. Glad it wasn’t oily or greasy like many places. Red food coloring was concerning and could do more draft beers. Over all ok place to eat.
Very nice dinner, friendly service, nice choice of curries, breads etc. No mango lassi or okra though which I usually enjoy ordering in an Indian restaurant. We appreciated the spiciness of the Madras and the garlic and coriander naan was yummy. The portions were good for sharing.
This family run restaurant will put the bigger chains such as Taste of India and Shaans on their feet. I have never had a better byriyani in a restaurant. The ambience will have Michelin star restaurants a run for their money. The staff are super friendly and make feel like you are eating at home not in a business formatted restaurant. This is the one place anyone visiting Loughborough should visit for a good time with food and drinks.
If you want delicious curry in loughborough, Salims is the one. It’s quite expensive so probably more of a treat but a very nice treat. The curry portions are a perfect size too.

A fantastic meal at the never disappointing Salim's. Delicious food and attentive staff. Only knocked a star off as was advised they needed the table back in 10 minutes, but no-one arrived. We'd still got wine left, so it was ideal being rushed. But they weren't rude or anything
