I visited here when I went to Jericho St Festival and I was really dissapointed I so badly wanted to like this spot after seeing them at Gloucester Green many times. First of all, I understand they only had two people on shift but it was so slow and disorganised. There was a backlog of orders and none of it was being written on tickets meaning items were incorrect or wrong. I ordered the veggie tacos which were £10. I asked if they were beans and they said yes. The sign said they came with onion, coriander, etc BUT IT DIDNT STATE CHEESE, nor was this mentioned when I asked about the veg option. I had to ask them to change their gloves, there was major cross contamination on the veg and meat board and they used the same grill and utensils for these options. If you can have separate facilities just don't offer a vegetarian option to be honest and it grossed me out to see the big chunks of meat be cut with the same cleaver used to plate my food. When the tacos were made they were covered in cheese, which I said was unaware as it wasn't listed and asked them for just beans. The look and major sigh of frustration was clear. I apologised but in hind sights I'm not sure if it's my fault? The beans were nice but there was nothing wow about the tacos. They didn't stand out and I'm pretty sure I could do these at home. None of the flavours packed a punch and the service made me feel uncomfortable. I think they were understaffed and busy so I'd be willing to try them out at Gloucester green where they seem to have more of a system and staff. The meat options were very popular and I suspect these are nice, just not an option I'd reccomend for vegetarians and vegans.

As a Mexican, I can confidently say the food here is delicious. It’s not exactly cheap, and the prices keep going up, but it’s worth it—you won’t find another place like this. I usually cook my own food (of course, being Mexican!), but I always recommend this spot to anyone wanting to try my cuisine. Funny enough, the chef isn’t even Mexican, but he does a great job!

Always such an amazing team, this is the best Mexican food I’ve had in the UK. From the tacos to the quesadillas they never disappoint!

Absolutely outstanding tacos. Probably the best tacos I've had in England, they tasted exactly like the food trucks you would get in Cali made authentically. I will definitely be returning to Oxford just to eat here again!

Super tasty, the chicken tacos had the most amazing flavour. Definitely worth a try! The spicy salsa really IS spicy, so be warned (I loved it!).

Delicious authentic Mexican food! La Cookaracha catered for our daughter’s christening party. They were a huge hit with all our guests, as well as being very professional. We will certainly be visiting their stall again!

Best authentic Mexican in Oxford by far. Small menu offering real Mexican served by a lovely guy. Much better than any of the chain restaurants around town.
