   It looks a bit tired and when you climb the stairs, it looks like an abandoned restaurant, but get past this and the food is really nice overall. It tastes fresh and the portions are very generous. The smoked chicken starter and duck pancakes were very good indeed, as are most of the main dishes - the Kung Po chicken was a bit of a mystery (battered chicken with some sauce sparingly dribbled over). We will definitely use this place again and would recommend.

   Great food last night (Saturday 18th Feb 2023) we had a family takeaway. New to the area so checked reviews of local takeaways and this place had the highest. Lovely tasting food, now absolutely our new Chinese Takeaway. Keep it up please Shanki-Li.

   One word to describe this takeaway: thieves, I think... I am so disappointed by Shangki Li! I ordered here one week ago, everything in king prawn version as I don't eat meat. The food (chow mein and fried rice) was good but unfortunately they gave me sweet and sour KH balls style filled with chichken instead of king prawn. The same night, I sent them a message on whatsapp to politly ask for a refund or a voucher for this item. The person told me that the manager was not here tonight but he will text me back the following day. OK no problem, but... one week later I was not texted back, and they even deleted the message from the chat... 1/ They are very inattentive or purposely serve meat to non-meat eaters (it happened to me only 2 times, in hundreds of restaurants) 2/ They are simply thieves, not refunding customers when they obviously made a mistake 3/ Even worst, they are liars (as if I didn't know the "Delete for everyone" in whatsapp... lol) So congratulations Shangki Li, you easily made it to my top 10 of the worst "restaurants" worldwide!

   Wonderfully friendly team serve up a waist-expanding all you can eat chefs recommended banquet filled with some 8 generously sized starters and 3 main courses for a measly sum. Quality and flavours are great. A spacious and clean dining room add to the experience. A rare and out-of-the-way little gem!

   A friend of mine was lovely enough to take me here and I loved it straight away. The owners are wonderfully friendly people and all of the staff give such a personal service that even someone like myself who was not from the area was remembered when I returned five months later. The crispy lamb is the best thing on the menu in my opinion. I could eat that and that alone and still be happy. That being said, everything on the menu is beautiful. It can get very busy so make sure to book!
