   We found Avanti by accident during a rather soggy few hours at BunkFest. We booked a table, left to enjoy more music and headed back. The welcome and service was excellent despite the business of the evening. The food was absolutely delicious and house red....yum! We don't live in the town but will definitely be back. If you're looking for an authentic Italian with fresh ingredients and super service, this is the place to go.

   We dined here based on reviews, we weren't disappointed, food was excellent, service was casual but very efficient, the staff were a credit to the owner. would highly recommend... but it's very popular, so pre-booking is essential!! Prices are reasonable.

   2025/03 Fantastic Italian restaurant with a great lunch menu! The food was very authentic and full of flavor, and the price was very reasonable. Plus, there’s no service charge, which makes it even better value (we added ourselves cuz it’s really good!). A lovely spot for a relaxed and delicious Italian meal—highly recommend!

   We were looking for somewhere to eat on Thursday night as not locals to the area and found Avanti. Ended up eating Thursday and Friday. Food was excellent, service excellent! We were even offered to decanter the wine, which rarely happens in restaurants. The young Team working in the restaurant are amazing! Plus they had veal and calves liver on the menu which is another rare occurrence. Thank you very much for enjoyable food, wine and service! Please do not drop the standards!

   I've been going here for years as it's the favourite resturant of my in-law family. I was lucky enough to have a pizza in Rome in one of the oldest restaurants a few years ago and my first words were....."not as good as Avanti". Staff are lovely and happy and yea, the pizza...amazing.

   As walk ins looking for a table for 2 on a friday night, we weren't sure we were going to get a table (it's a small restaurant and it looked very busy). Luca very kindly went to great lengths to rearrange the furniture to squeeze us in among his other bookings. The food was excellent, as was the atmosphere. Its a lovely little Italy in wallingford!

   What a fantastic restaurant! The pasta makes you feel like you’re in Italy, while the Salsiccia pizza is honestly one of the best!… plus the staff are so lovely and welcoming… The proprietor Luca always makes you feel right at home! Would thoroughly recommend!
