I found a hair in my chicken katsu and have contacted them via Deliveroo from which I ordered it through and have had no reply for over a week let alone any compensation as I was not able to eat the food I paid for. Appalling

Have only 30mins for lunch break. The girl who serves me said 6mins waiting for Udon. It was only me and other 2 girls with rice order. Then my 6mins wait turned out 16mins as they obviously forgot my Udon getting cold in the kitchen. The girl must in her little world to decide use her barehand to pick up my chicken katsu :) very concern about their Food Hygiene standard now. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for no veggie but my noodles cup looked so plain... where all my seaweed or spring onions garnish? Cut down for cheap cost saving? Staff said they should all be inside but must be in my imagination then. Defo not coming back! So disappointed and waste of money.

Literally just had two meals at Kokoro. We had the chicken katsu curry with noodles, which was really good. I had the chicken teriyaki, it was good but could have been hotter and had a bit more flavour. Tables slightly sticky. Service was fine.

Don't expect fine dining, it's a good takeaway place with small seating area. Food was amazing with large portions, good taste and value for money. Would recommend Sweet chilli chicken with noodles.

Great value and excellent food. Definitely would order again or eat in. I love the paper packaging which is very convenient to store in the fridge or eat directly from it. Portions are so big that we ordered menu for two but had dinner and lunch on the next day, still tasted delicious. Very happy. Thank you guys!!!Merry Christmas and a Happy new year! Visited the store today on Old Christchurch Rd. Super delicious hot food. Never disappointing. Will be coming again.

Not recommended if you want to try Japanese food for the first time, bcuz you might be disappointed with the food. I know it is not authentic Japanese restaurant, but this is too much for me. Even the Katsu Curry, the curry taste was too salty and not even feel the taste of spicy. They use the chicken part which is too sticky (hard to chew). And how can you add avocado in sushi? Itβs so weird. These are not right, I think someone has to deal with this asap.

Couldnβt hear a word the worker was saying behind the counter. Ordered some noodles with some chicken I thought looked good, but turned out to be woefully dry & unchewable. A star is gained for the patience of another worker who had to clean up after a lady who dropped her food right after they finished up cleaning the place.

Most of the time food is nice but just had delivery. Three spring roll 2 is badly burned. I can only eat one. Hope doesn't happen again.

When a certain Japanese food chain just across the road closed during the pandemic, I was devastated. However when Kokoro opened up, I was curious if it could be a good stand in, and I was right to check this place out. It's a relatively small restaurant but the food here is superb. You generally pick either rice or noodles and then pick food to accompany it, such as chicken katsu, teriyaki salmon, spicy beef etc. The portion sizes here are great too. When you ask for large, the staff not only give you large, but they'll cram enough food into your bowl until the lid can just about stay on. I'm always satisfied with the amount of katsu chicken they give because this place doesn't hold back. There's also a great selection of Sushi here as well as additional hot and cold food options.

the food is alright but when buying a box of sushi they only have one TINY sachet of soya sauce that will only be suitable for about three bites when there's like 12 bites. when you ask for more soya they charge you 10p for each extra sachet you buy which is completely unnecessary because it isn't on the customer for not bringing their own extra soya sauce when the one in store isn't enough. people barely even eat in and always takeaway so it'd definitely be more convenient to have more sachets and it'd be appreciated. also, for the price of ONE box of sushi it was probably the worst I've ever eaten. it fell apart so easily...not even homemade sushi is made this bad. I eat sushi almost everyday and I definitely would know. my daughter had to eat the sushi with her literal hands because of how hard it was to eat with chopsticks.
