   5 Stars - I would 100% recommend Training by Lumiere to anyone thinking of setting up a photography buisness or looking to improve their photography skills! I was the winner of the 2017 "60 Seconds to Change Your Life" competition run by Training by Lumiere in conjunction with The Photography Show at the NEC Birmingham. Following several intense knock-out rounds, I was honoured to win the competition and receive a place on the 2017-18 Foundation Programme by TBL. Training by Lumiere consists of Kate and Brent, two incredibly knowledgable photography professionals with years of real-world experience in the industry. They are so warm and open in sharing everything they have learnt in their careers - none of it is just theory, but real, practical advice tried and tested by themselves. The quality of the information shared is second to none. It is so inspiring to be trained by successful, practicing photographers/videographers. Kate and Brent aim to fill in the blanks left by many other Photography educators with a real emphasis on business skills, professional practice and practical skills. I have a first class honours photography degree (2010-13), but I can't express enough how useful and transformative I found the Foundation Programme. As I left each and every session my brain was buzzing with new knowledge and I felt super inspired to make positive and impactful changes to my business. The 1-2-1 mentoring time is absolutely invaluable and allows for individual time spent with Kate and Brent on any aspect of photography or business practice that you choose. Training by Lumiere has been an integral part of starting and developping my photography buisness. I would encourage anyone considering this programme to go for it!

   I have just completed the Foundation Programme with Training By Lumiere - Kate, Brent and Becky are refreshingly warm, welcoming, open and honest. They have a wealth of knowledge and a passion to share it. It has been valuable to learn from successful, practicing photographers and film makers and this is one of the things which makes this Foundation Programme unique. From the moment I first met them I felt valued and motivated - they have a talent for boosting confidence and supporting others to have both the practical and emotional skills to succeed. The past 6 months has flown by and I will miss my monthly 'holiday' (as although we worked very hard for 2 long days a month I always felt rested, cared for and motivated for the next stage). If you are looking to boost your professional photography business I would recommend Training By Lumiere.

I have trained with them many times over the years, and always found them to be unbelievably generous with their knowledge and they really care about seeing progress in their clients.    My business has benefited greatly from Kate's wisdom over the last few years and it was no surprise to me when she created Training byLumiere which focuses on training for photographers. A few weeks ago I asked for help and Kate and Brent came to the rescue! Brent led me through the mysterious world of SEO in great detail while keeping it light and specific to my needs. I left their stunning new office with a head full of knowledge and an arm full of notes to put into action! Can't recommend these lovely people enough.

   Wow, where to start?! Having just completed the exceptional 6 month course I cannot recommend it highly enough. Relevant and current training on all aspects of both photography and business. Kate and Brent deliver this course in an all inclusive manner, there is never a moment where you can't ask a question ... nor do they tire of questions being asked, ever! Their technical knowledge is outstanding, their creative brains inspiring and business model solid. I am a second career/career change photographer who had no technical knowledge. I am also a mummy of two under five and this is my first foray back into 'real life' after having children ... so this really was a big thing! I know that my business (which I am in the process of setting up) will work and that wouldn't have been possible without Training byLumiere. If you are considering a course then look no further.
