Lots of choice of suits for all sizes, including for larger men. I was greatly aided by Ashley, who listened to what i wanted and was able guide me to one that fits great. Fit alteration service also means that I can be confident that the suit will fit great all over. Reasonably priced as well.
At a certain point you realise your wardrobe needs to contain a few items that you can mix and match in different ways to create different outfits. Slater's is perfect for fitting yourself out with all the basics required and is excellent for suits. Decent quality at sensible prices, and crucially one of the few retailers who does alterations - even to jeans.
I’ve been to Slaters a few times, but this visit stood out as the best experience yet. The highlight of my time there was Kai — they were knowledgeable, attentive, and truly invaluable in making the visit exceptional. Their level of customer service went above and beyond, and I would gladly travel farther just to receive this kind of care again.
Amazing place for your suit needs! Came here after finding a recommendation on Google. The affordability and free alterations were particularly appealing for my fiancés wedding suit as he’s a different to “typical” shape that most suits seem to be made for. He doesn’t wear a suit often so didn’t really know what he wanted. This place has so many colours, styles, fabrics and sizes. We received attentive and friendly service (I can’t remember the lady’s name but she was lovely) and advice and didn’t feel rushed or pressured. Once he made a decision they did a fair few alterations, and a week later we picked it up and it fits SO well!! The staff really made sure he was happy and offered advice about shirts etc as well. Would definitely recommend! The only thing is that I wish we didn’t have to drive an hour and a half to a store as we seem to live between 3. A store in Milton Keynes might be a good idea to serve a large geographical area.
Went to Slaters in Reading to find a suit for my son to go to a wedding. There are so many suits to choose from and ties, shirts, shoes! Everything we could want. We were helped by a lady called Ellen who was fabulous. She didn't crowd us but was very helpful and attentive. She helped fit a suit.. my son was between sizes so Ellen pinned the jacket and waistcoat. Trousers also adjusted for length. I will go back and pick up the altered/tailored suit in a week or so. Alterations are FREE!! Fabulous experience overall. Suits cost around £150, for a tailored suits - that's amazing.
