Went to store to return online bought airfryer.airfryer is too small for me that's why I thought to return but the manager who served me is simply arguing with me that he can't process my return because it's already used. I am telling him that I just tested it to see size but he didn't listen .I came all the way from reading to basingstoke .I am totally Disappointed with the service
Great shop sells brilliant products...Problem with floor space my wife had a lot of difficulty getting her mobility scooter around the shop.Stacks all over the place leaving little room for maneuvering. People with push chairs or prams would have the same problem.
I went in to get an electric blanket which as it is starting to warm up was not out on the shlves. As i was looking around a lady approached me and asked if i was ok. I explained what i was looking for and she straight away started to help me. She looked on the till which said they didnt have one. I was gutted. But she offered to go upstairs and have a look! And luckily they had one! The lady in question has reddish hair and glasses. Honestly, something so simple has made my day and saved me the hassle of ordering one online. I just want to give a shout out to the staff in the bstoke store as they were all so lovrly and helpful and most people obly do reviews when they are moaning. So thank you for making my day and ensuring my bed is going to be warm and toasty tonight!!
I regularly buy stuff from Robert Dyas at, Basingstoke including ke, toasters, water filter & cartridges, bin liners, Wok, lightbulbs & batteries etc. Recently made a couple of purchases including a cordless screwdrivers. Unfortunately it wasn't suitable as it wasn't powerful enough, so I returned it saying it "wasn't fit for purpose". The member of staff serving me turned to her colleague & sarcastically said "we get that one a lot". Although she reluctantly refunded my money, her comment left a bitter taste in my mouth. Clearly there is a need for customer service training. It won't stop me going there as I think they are good value for money, but another comment like that might convince me to take my business elsewhere.
NOT a criticism of Basingstoke branch but of Robert Dyas as a business. Atrocious communication breakdowns between their suppliers and themselves and that impacting on customers. Product advertised, paid for, only then to be declared later as "out of stock", a Customer Services Agent who thought he was doing me a favour by defending poor service using the flimsiest of excuses as to why the Ad was still in place, no stock available, a stated 28 day window for them to decide if and when product may arrive and when order cancelled; 3 days taken to inform supplier and until 10 minutes ago at my instigation nothing had been done. Shabby is too complimentary and One Star far more than merited.
