    "Exceptional Service" Maisie went above and beyond to assist me with all the things i needed for my house. Her professionalism, patience, knowledge and cheerful approach made the entire experience easy and stressless because if reading didnt have anything in stock she would go out of her way and ring around to make sure she can find what i need. She took the time to answer all my questions and ensured I left completely satisfied. It's rare to find such dedicated and customer-focused employees, and B&Q is lucky to have her. Highly recommend seeking her out for assistance because she will make sure she will help you if she can.

    Recent customer service is shocking, rude and argumentive customer service person. Husband purchased a bunch of random items and used the self service, not realising at the time there was a security tag on one item (and to be fair similar colour to the product) however, the alarms were never triggered either anyway due to one reason or another it took nearly 2 weeks to return with the receipt to explain the tag was still on. The customer service person asked him what have you been doing for 2 weeks? And then called manager over to say Infront again don't know what this man has been doing for 2 weeks before returning? Honestly why do we need to justify, we have paid for the item and have a receipt to prove it, we don't live next door and can hop on over after tea. For a customer who has used B and Q products to renovate my property, I find this level of attitude and utter disgrace no wonder there are self service machines at every turn if this is how we treat people face to face. B and Q management, I suggest you put this person through a basic customer service course or dismiss based on gross misconduct they are not an asset to the business.

    Joel staff at customer service. Arrogant and unhelpful. First of all he told me the bill was Β£150.00 which I was shock as per my calculation it wasn’t. When I query that to him he arrogantly said that’s what it is. I then said I will check the blind price and come back to the till. Ok the blind was misplaced where I picked where it was Β£10.00 fair price bough. But then I told him that as per my calculation the bill is not right so I asked him to recalculate everything. And when he did the bill was Β£93.08, so I said you see there was a mistake. So arrogant and with ego he said there might have been an error. Not even once he said sorry. For me if you can work as a customer service staff then don’t do it. I don’t enjoy confrontation but his attitude force you to do so. Coming to the bill. When I was paying I used the decorating card for some of the items. As decorating cards you can only buy decorating items and cleaning material(which includes paints, decorating items, cleaning products, brush, scrubbing products anything regarding cleaning). I have been using decorating card for the last 10 yrs and I know what to get and what not to get. There been couple of instances where the system wouldn’t accept the items but if you put it through again it doesn’t go through. He was so adamant that he didn’t even care or try to help. He just wouldn’t even make any effort to look into this. B&Q DO NOT PUT SOMEONE ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK IF THE PERSON CANT HANDLE SITUATION AND IF THE PERSON HAS ISSUES WITH CUSTOMERS WHEN QUESTIONED.     Thank you Sean who was working in the tile section on Thursday afternoon. What an absolute star. My elderly parents were in B&Q to choose bathroom tiles and Sean was extremely patient and helpful. He loaded up a flat bed, took us to the tills and helped load up the car. Really impressed with his customer service. The tiles were good too.

    Had what I needed but a little pricey. Check the bargin bucket area. If your prepared to dig through it it can yeild some worthwhile bits.

    THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!! They fitted my kitchen and bathroom, they did it in such a way it damaged my house then during covid my wife was sick and they couldn't care if she died and gas and electric was illegal!!! Was nearly killed by gas leak too!! If you want your family safe go any where else and took 4 years to fix house damage.

    The B&Q on the Gateway Retail Park is a huge store. The store pretty much has everything you could wish for. Plants and shrubs etc are always good quality so this is really a mini garden centre along with everything else. Men (and women) can stand and daydream in the tool isles. Women (and men) can stand and daydream in soft furnishings. I do both and the garden centre. Yep you can pretty much get anything you want here for your DIY home or garden project. There are now updated self scan checkouts that work well. The staff are usually friendly and pretty cool. Recommended. Tip: Click & Collect and Customer Services are just inside the main entrance and to the right.
