Unusually poor service today. Shop floor pooly managed and girls working there verging on ignorance.

Went in to use Β£40 worth of gift cards I have never touched & was told I only had Β£5 balance onβ¦ Girl at the counter was smirking whilst I stood there awkwardly explaining. Didnβt offer much help or advice or understanding. Had to pay as I felt uncomfortable as if I was lying about not spending the gift card. Rang up and funnily enough, still have Β£40 on there due to an βerrorβ on their part. Wonβt be returning though due to Cailtlin. Other staff were lovely though as another lady complimented my jumper :)

Ordered a 3 piece suit online and paid Β£189. Collected it from the Durham City store. Had to open the suit to try it on and noticed it did not come with a suit carrier. When I asked for one they had the cheek to charge me Β£2 for it. Not the fault if the staff. But the manager would not give it to me for free. Collected from the store as delivery to home was an extra charge of Β£5. They should have told me that a suit carrier would cost me Β£2. Could have saved me a journey into town. Disappointed.

I went to this store on Monday the 5th of October 2020. And due to current government restrictions I was unable to sample or test any of the fragrances on offer. But then I was greeted by nice woman behind the counter named Lucy. I asked her about the fragrances And asked her which one she recommended. Having spoken with her and describing my tastes, Lucy told me about a fragrance she bought for her significant other and due to her recommendation, I bought that said fragrance and I am really surprised with its smell, performance, longevity and compliment factor. 10-10 for customer service and product knowledge. Im going back next week to pick Lucy's brain on other fragrances.

The store has a great atmosphere and is ideally located in the very heart of Durham City. It sells mens, ladies and children's clothing. Due to the small size of the store, the men's department is smaller that you would expect (sharing the upper floor with children's wear, where it previously occupied the whole floor). Additonally, the layout and density of the store can make it difficult for wheelchair users to navigate. Usually the staff are friendly and pleasant. However, during a recent visit a member of staff was most unhelpful and rude to a friend of mine, refusing to check the stock of an item in a her size.

The store is what it is, a Next store, pretty much the same everywhere In the window was a big hoo hah about black Friday 70% off black tagged items Went in and searched everywhere so had to ask the shop assistant She showed me to a metre long rail with an identical one underneath with about 7 different items of clothing on them both, probably about 30 garments total of what looked to me to be from the 2014 summer collection. There was absolutely no point in it whatsoever It would have cost next more to print all the advertising and erect it than what they made selling the cheap black Friday lines
