   I was in the shop looking for slippers for myself. I'm recovering from a hip operation and my mobility isn't good. When I couldn't find an Assistant, I shouted for help, and a young woman appeared. She was very helpful and when I couldn't get a pair in my size, she offered to order them for me, to my house, for free! Excellent stuff!

   I’ve been a regular customer at Deichmann in Bon Accord, Aberdeen, for the last 2.5 years, shopping for shoes for myself and my kids at least once every three months. Unfortunately, during my recent visit, I had an experience that left me feeling quite uncomfortable and disappointed. While I was trying on shoes (standing briefly, as I often do), a sales lady came near me several times but didn’t say anything. The store was not busy at the time. A short while later, a male staff member approached me and told me not to stand while trying on shoes and to sit down so I wouldn’t “block the way.” I wasn’t in anyone’s way, and there were very few customers in the shop, so the comment felt unnecessary and made me feel singled out and unwelcome. This kind of interaction is discouraging—especially for someone who’s been a loyal customer. I ended up leaving without finishing my shopping. I hope Deichmann addresses this and ensures staff speak to customers with more respect and care. This happened today around 2-2.30 PM on 27th may 2025.
