Favourite coffee house in Reading. Best coffee, good vegan milk options. Wish there was more vegan options though, their flapjack is good though.
I was here before and had a very good filter coffee experience. Today, I wanted to be surprised and asked for a filter brew that is strong and chocolaty. Brazil was recommended to me, but it was watered down and not strong in taste or coffein. I know filter coffees that was not one that I would order again.
Very good coffee shop, serving artisan coffee, pastries, sandwiches, brownies, slices, and cakes. This coffee shop has been in Reading for a while with another branch in West Reading. The coffee is very good, they have seating inside, service is brisk, and friendly. Recommended.
Having visited it at dusk, it’s classic, but a bit aged and crowded. I have ordered a cappuccino and the taste was okay, but the milk foam was too thin and bubbly. Staff is friendly

I love their staff! Been wanting to try this place and finally! They are so welcoming! And the ambience was so different inside. You’ll be seeing a lot of bean bags? If I’m not mistaken. And also the coffee…magnifico!!! I was so sleepy just before and it was a relief getting a coffee here! This place needs more attention!!!!! I’ll be back for the cakes! Oh and coffee again too!
Some people like what they do; these guys are passionate. A huge variety of roasts and beans from around the world. Extremely knowledgeable staff and the owner is the roaster. If you love coffee, Workhouse would love to give you what you want.
