I preferred it when it had character chairs and a darker colour scheme. It used to be cool and atmospheric and had some personality - now it looks like a service station food forecourt. A real downgrade.
We had a nice cup of amercano with cold milk, plus 2 toasties well flavored and cheesey but no cutlery or napkins were offered we had to request them, the table and area was clean and tidy, Bruce

A great outlet at a very convenient location in Reading town centre. Food and drinks are of good quality and service fast. The female barista at the till was with a clinical attitude - no smile, stern look, and not so welcoming style!
We had a wonderful coffee after shopping and the staff were efficient and friendly. I loved my coconut latte and I would always recommend this place to everyone who loves coffee. They just need to tell you about the speciality blends they have on offer.
We had a really nice mocha here on New Year's day. The service was good and the atmosphere was good. We sat by the window and watched the world go by.
Quick service and happy friendly staff. Was very busy so little to nowhere to sit down but you get what you expect from a Costa. Would visit again.
Poor service specially if you serve by sandi and chandra ,missed order twice ,you will get only take away cup if you are there 20 min before the closing time .if you order a cake you wont get cutlery and a plate just in a bag,because you are visiting near to the closing hours.
Visited late on a weekday morning just as the lunchtime rush was beginning. We managed to get a table for 5 by clearing a table for ourselves. Good drinks. Standard Costa offering. We didn't eat.
