What a disaster of a service! Firstly, the staff got my coffee wrong. I ordered an oat decaf flat white and it was first made without oat milk so they had to remake it. Plus it was more like a cappuccino than a flat white i.e. too foamy. My food then came - I ordered ‘smashed avocado and eggs’ and it was served without eggs. I queried this immediately and they apologised, took the dish back to add eggs, and said the chef had forgotten to add the eggs which was bizarre! They also said they didn’t have any hollandaise sauce which it was meant to be served with. After 10 minutes I queried my food, and only then did I get told it would be a further 3 minutes, so clearly they hadn’t been cooking poached eggs until this point. When it came, there was only avocado on one slice of bread (stingy), and the bread was not ‘doorstep’ as advertised (ie thick) - it was the thinnest, cheapest bread. There was no seasoning on any of it. Bland and basic. The only good thing was that they accidentally undercharged me (which I didn’t realise until later)! Don’t waste your time here.

Went into the cafe just for a coffee and was greeted with the rudest staff. Cafe was empty however no one wanted to serve us and the staff were arguing about who would serve. Once finally served, as we were looking at the menu they rolled their eyes and took loud deep breaths as if to rush us to make a decision, after this the staff started audibly complaining about how much “they hate this place and couldn’t wait to go on break/leave” this obviously did not set high hopes or a good atmosphere for us. The staff were gossiping the whole time (loudly for all to hear), all while making a boiling hot, terrible coffee (which in the end was undrinkable). Absolutely appalling, will not be back.

Fine for coffee, cakes. Long queue, we’ve only been during events so might not always be as busy. First time sitting inside, it’s quite musty, lots of dog hair on the floor and looked like it needed a really good clean, freshen up. First time ordering hot food. We ordered a children’s burger, adult burger and a wrap. £35 with no drinks. We were really disappointed. Wet halloumi wrap, inedible. All our fries were pasty, uncooked. Burgers were cheapest of cheap frozen. All our food was cold. I would have gone to ask for a refund but couldn’t due to queue size. Just seems to be inefficiently managed as lots of staff but not sure why it isn’t working. Won’t eat there again, packed lunch next time. Wouldn’t mind if it was a little more affordable but £12-14 for an adults meal (even nowadays) Id expect it to be cooked and at least half decent quality. My son immediately developed a rash on the side of his mouth after eating the children’s burger, it disappeared after a few hours but bit worrying.

My wife and I enjoyed the food and somewhere so sit in the shade and have a coffee. Staff were nice and polite. My only main issue was that I had to change my 1 month old baby on the floor of the baby changing room as the table had obviously been ripped off the wall. Being a place where loads or young family's and babies come to, please please get your baby changing facilities in order. Quite disappointed about it.

Absolutely rubbish. Ordered the special toasted focaccia. Not a sun-dried tomato in sight when it turned up. Tiny amount of feta. 2 pieces of tomato and some leaves. For £7.50. Just terrible what a complete rip off. Staff clearly have no hospitality training either, they really don’t care. Avoid at all costs.

Had a nice walk and then a club sandwich. It was very nice. Lots of shouting children and parents unable to control them which is a pity but generally friendly and welcoming.

It was a raw overcast day outside. So very happy to come in and stand beside their log-burner. Had very nice breakfast - hot and freshly cooked, great caf and decaf coffee. My wife has a bacon bun and I can safely say that I've never seen so much crispy bacon in a bun before.

Friendly helpful staff. Reasonable prices and decent coffee. Get the big breakfast if you don't want to eat lunch! Cumberland sausage in a bun is a good option. The only downside is the sticky tables. Some TLC and general maintenance wouldn't come amiss...

Had a nice walk around the lake so thought we would have some food before we left. We really wish we didn’t bother. When the burger came out it looked really good however it was DISGUSTING. Staff members arguing in front of customers and swearing at each other. Some of the staff were good but most of them are just young and uninterested. Overall a bad experience, won’t recommend to anyone and definitely won’t be going again.

The new cafe has lost the charm of the previous place. The feel is very much a hipster vibe which is strange for a venue whose majority of customers are families and older adults. The prices have also increased but without superior food being offered. Plus stock is always low. Overall a sad place to go.
