We stop quite often at this costa, usually before a stay at the Premier Inn next door. Our latest trip was for this purpose, and we enjoyed 2 drinks while we waited for our entry time. During our visit, the manager had made the decision, due to short staffing, to shut the sit down coffee area and only operate the drive thru. Most people coming in accepted this, but a couple didn't and caused quite a scene, stating that they would get a drive thru coffee and come inside to sit down. A member of staff, I believe called Cici or Cece (I couldn't quite hear) handled this very well, stating that the staff have to adhere to what their manager Christopher tells them. The same couple then came back in with their drive thru drinks, still arguing with what Cece had told them. Another family who were sat in store before the closure were also angry and hostile, not understanding why they couldn't order a drink. Our personal visit was unaffected by the closure, and if we had been told we couldn't stay we would understand fully that the staff have to do what they are told by their manager. We hope Cece was unaffected by the lack of kindness the other customers refused to give her. We had lovely drinks and the staff were all kind. The coffee shop is convenient to the Premier Inn next door, and we will be back for another visit next time we're travelling.

Probably the friendliest staffed Costa we go to. The team are always friendly and informative. Loved the fancy dress for charity day. Well run shop and team.

My partner and I have just left the drive thru at this costa, and from the second we got there, Chris’ attitude and enthusiasm was exceptional. This continued all the way until we drove off, his manners and eagerness to help are everything customer service in any forward facing job should be. Thank you Chris for brightening our day and being the kind of customer service provider that keeps people excited to return your store.

First time visit here. A really nice experience - store was clean and pleasant. It’s not very busy if you sit in. The drive-through did seem busy. Only concern is the parking is not very clear for Costa customers. The sign says that if you’re not a Premier Inn or Restaurant customer then you need to pay. However, the Costa staff said to me that it’s free until 10 pm. An online customer said that you get 90-mins free and then you get a ticket. Either way I downloaded the app and paid for two hours parking which cost me £1.50 just to cover myself. So I would advise Costa of to put up a sign that would help their customers know what to do regarding parking. I imagine you get a lot of passing-through customers who are unfamiliar with the parking.

Valuable drive-through for a coffee before you get on the motorway. For this, Costa doesn’t seem right. The Costa drive-through is definitely at the Premier Inn and the map doesn’t look right at all. Looks like it’s in the wrong location. Negative this place has very little gluten-free choices and no soups no fruit sticks. Everything is all pastry and wheat. The only gluten-free or wheat free options. I see is porridge and some, sugary sweet small candy bars.

What a terrible Costa. Understaffed. One girl left the till to go on a break when it was clearly extremely busy. She was drinking her own drink while at the till before her break, very unhygienic. The service was extremely slow, over 15 minutes from ordering a coffee to receiving after queueing for 10 minutes. Behind the counter was a disgrace, boxes everywhere, no organisation and frankly it looked dirty. Someone needs to get a grip on managing this place. Quite possibly the worst Costa experience I've ever had. Bizarre.

When we arrived at the drive through, the staff member who served us was extremely unfriendly and rude. We were given the wrong food and when we brought attention to this fact, the member of staff argued with us telling us that while he couldn't prove that he had given us the right item, that he had. When he handed us the item to begin with, he called it by the wrong name (the item we believe we actually received) which was what made us check this. He was very rude throughout the entire encounter.

Not great, seemed to be staffed almost wholly by inexperienced staff, who didn't know what promotions were running and weren't serving customers drinks in order-they served me ahead of a gent who was already waiting. There was also no communication, when the server didn't know about the promo, she could have said Something not just walk off to consult with another colleague, who also didn't seem to know. I also had to ask for a fork for my salad, the server preparing the drinks forgot to put cream so poured quite a bit of the drink away to then add cream, almost did mine with milk when I'd asked for soya. So overall not great.

A friendly shop in a prime location that tries to be helpful. My own experience is echoed by others that the drive-thru side of the shop is closed more often than not, particularly wasting customers' precious time in the morning. I should imagine I am not alone in encouraging Costa to resolve their staffing issues. With numerous reviews pointing this out one wonders whether management is listening. Is there anyone out there?
