Thank you for this warm and welcoming space. The food and drinks are delicious, everyone is very friendly and the cafe is cute & cosy. It’s great to see and support places like this that really being the community together. I came to spend the day to work, the team were happy for me to spend the day there, offered great Wi-Fi and a quiet corner to work. It was lovely to see the locals come in and bond together, but local produce and enjoy freshly cooked dishes.

Dee cafe catered for my son’s birthday party and did such a fab job! I told Tina there was a (loose) paw patrol theme and she made dog bone shaped sandwiches and an incredible paw patrol pup fruit platter - it was so creative. She also sorted a very last minute dairy free option which was very kind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dee Cafe catering (or the cafes)

Great little community cafe! I came here for the first time today and had a wonderful veg English breakfast and Cuppaccino. Food tasted very fresh with a lot of flavour. Coffee was great and I love that it's from a local roaster. Also nice to see they are very focused on the local community.

Me and my family love Dee Caf and have been enjoying the coffee, toasties, cakes and friendly service since they first opened. Great for babies and children and tired parents. We recently asked Tina to cater for our 4 year old’s birthday and they really went above and beyond with the themed sandwiches and fruit platter. Beautifully displayed canapés and samosas with incredible dips for the adults. Super tasty and fresh. Fantastic looking, delicious cake for a very reasonable price and all delivered by hand to the party venue locally. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

If can give 10 stars I would! Lovely cafe, soon as you come in the vibe is very welcoming and happy. Definitely a big sense of community, wish our town had this! The food is so good, can't remember the last time felt so much joy eating a toastie! Toast was on point, lettuce crisp and fresh, peppers flavourful as grilled, and the sauce is nothing I've had before..just so good. The ladies who run this have obviously poured their heart into everything -- food, genuine hospitality and sense of community/belonging. Like a previous reviewer said, the world definitely needs more cafes like this.

Wish we'd discovered this sooner! We popped into Dee Caf this weekend after hearing great things and weren't disappointed; the food was really very tasty and the owner was super friendly. We had the fish finger toastie (both the messiest and one of the best I've had) and the very plentiful full English (got 5* from my husband). The eggs were so good that we bought a pack of six local eggs whilst there. Really nice to see Reading businesses support each other! We'll be back for sure :)

What a lovely place. Tina was so nice and welcoming despite being on her own and really up against. She interacted with all the customers. What a great community spot. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee was spot on. I really wish her the best.

Stopped in for a coffee during a bike ride and was so warmly welcomed by the woman behind the counter (who I think runs the place) that I ended up staying instead of taking my drink to go. The menu was surprisingly extensive for both hot drinks and food, the latter in particularly being so affordable. There were so many toasties I’d love to try. Also loads of lovely extras for the community, including a free hot meal for those in need on Wednesday afternoons, a weekly Dads-specific meet up and an eco-refill shop with a range of toiletries. Really recommend this little community gem.

So happy to have finally made a visit to this lovely, friendly cafe. I had a great coconut milk cappuccino (several choices for alternative milk) & my Samostie was DELICIOUS! It's such a great, truly local business. I will definitely be back!

Dee Caf is run by an amazing person, Tina. Her and the team have brought a fantastic little venue to a bit of Reading that was lacking food/drink. She's an amazing cook herself (you've gotta try the carrot cake!), but she also teams up with Rise Bakehouse for some of their cakes. Not only does she sell local honey, flowers/plants and rewards litter picking with freebies... But she's just started stocking refillable household items (shower gel, detergent etc). She's even had local artists in to decorate the venue. If you're in a rush, I'd definitely recommend calling them to order ahead. If it's nice weather, Tina also puts a couple of tables outside as well as the indoor seating. In the picture is my favourite item on the menu: freshly pan-fried sourdough, stuffed with garlic, cheese and mushrooms. It's a dream. Had it with one of the Rise Bakehouse weekend specials.
