Oh my god. If this place closes down I'm moving out of Newbury. I actually love this place. The staff are so friendly, the food and coffee goes above and beyond, the music and decor is brilliant. I only wish I lived closer. I love their bagel and would love to see more of their hot food. Let's go Rufus!

Very lovely space, nice warm lighting and beautifully decorated. The coffees and cake were lovely but the chipotle sausage roll stole the show for me! Definitely will return again to try the other flavours.

The chai latte was presented nicely, quickly and a good size but unfortunately was just warm and very milky - could have had more flavour and been served hot! Nice mini donuts though, and it's always good to support an independent business in Newbury and stop us becoming just another cloned town. The vibe inside is really nice though and beautifully decorated for Autumn, we enjoyed the rock music vibe.

Wonderful to have an independent Coffee shop in Newbury. The staff were great, despite it being so busy. Coffee and cakes were delicious. Very stylish decor. Such a transformation.

I went to Rufus on Saturday (1st April) for their soft launch. I purchased a Cappuccino, Almond Croissant, and a Vegan Brownie. It was busy but the staff were handling service very efficiently! The atmosphere was very cool, with great lighting and décor, and plenty of places to sit. I particularly liked the use of old theater chairs and a repurposed church pew. The coffee was very smooth, the almond croissant was giant and probably the tastiest i've had, and my friend enjoyed their brownie :) Look forward to seeing the full menu when it launches!

OK to decent new independent coffee shop. It's nicely decorated inside, with a rock vibe, with interesting photos, posters, and books. They have some theatre seats to sit in, along with armchairs, and normal seats. The pastries and brownies are good, the coffee wasn't great. The coffee taste was OK but lacked depth, and aroma. For me the tiny cafe at the north of Newbury is the best coffee served in Newbury. Hopefully it will improve coffee wise, they have plenty of seats inside, and the staff are friendly.
