“This was great time spent at Zizzi for my daughter's 18th Birthday. Best place in Newbury we chosen to celebrate birthday with her 15 friends. Great Hospitality, excellent ambiance, friendly staff and needless to say excellent food and beverages. Manager Sachin and other staff members joined us for birthday cake cutting which made birthday more joyful and memorable. Surely recommend to my other friends. Thank you Zizzi.”

“Really nice hotel, great staff and very delicious breakfast. I stayed over the weekend and there isn't even one thing l could complain about. The receptionist was super friendly, got the all information what l needed. And for the price room was really good. Would highly recommend. “I was so excited to attend the open evening today! They did a voucher for a free plate of food and free drink with live music outside! The food was delicious! The rib meat really fell off the bone! The pulled pork was so succulent! The salad was nice and crisp and the fries were perfectly seasoned. They really have got it right! I can't wait to visit properly!”

“Staff are always polite with every food essentials in. We have Co-ops dotted everywhere - handy to avoid 20 minute journey to a local supermarket just for a loaf or milk that we all tend to run out of periodically.”

“Beautiful theatre in a lovely area. Great for shows & eating out. I saw Jesus Chris Superstar with a group of friends & loved it. It was such a great production & each actor were superb. Highly recommend both the show & theatre.”

“First of all this place is absolutely gorgeous and the food was so so good. We stumbled across this restaurant while stuck in traffic. And we arrived with our toddler, bags and in our work clothes (after installing a messy Christmas display covered in pine needles) the restaurant has a formal feel and next time we pop by we will definitely dress up for the occasion. “Oh my god. If this place closes down I'm moving out of Newbury. I actually love this place. The staff are so friendly, the food and coffee goes above and beyond, the music and decor is brilliant. I only wish I lived closer. I love their bagel and would love to see more of their hot food. Let's go Rufus!”

“The best sushi we have eaten. Mo is warm and friendly and has given us free tasters due to the amount of times we've been in. There is almost always space to just walk in, honestly this place should be rammed each night. A must visit for Newbury if you like Sushi.”

“Can't real fault this place - lovely location in a courtyard off the high street, great staff and very good food. I also had takeaway ice cream in a cone which was delicious. Only grumble would be a better choice of red wine as only two - not a fan of Malbec I went for the the other which did warn it was quite tannin. Maybe look at having a Primovito.”

“Valle D’Oro is a wonderful family run independent Italian Restaurant in Newbury town centre, it’s food and drink selection is very good, so many options for steaks, the service was fast and friendly and you could tell the staff really care about their customers and the venue itself is cosy and well decorated. I had the steak in peppercorn sauce, I think if I ordered again I’d go for rare instead of medium rare. The fillet steak itself was incredible, it’s in my top five all time steaks, and it one of my go to items on menus so I’ve had lots in the past. The peppercorn sauce was also excellent, very thick and incredibly peppery, creamy goodness. The portion sizes are massive, so be careful not to over order, the vegetable selection looked amazing but we had no room left to try it. This is a great local business, it’s been located in Newbury since the 1080’s and you can see why it’s been so successful and long lived, it’s just brilliant, most highly recommend”

Where many breakfast places were empty, this place was absolutely jam-packed, which is a testament to how well-loved it is in the community. I wouldn’t say that the food or presentation is trying to blow your mind. It’s more of a home-cooked, comfort food. The best part is really the staff; the young servers are so polite and hardworking. Very quaint!”
