It's not a very big store, parking can be a bit tight. The lady on the till is friendly and helpful

I’ve been coming into this Co-op for close to a year now, and there’s a slightly older gentleman who works there that clearly has an issue with people of colour. I’ve made an effort to speak to him every single time I’ve been in, but I’ve now given up. Today, I had my headphones in and could still hear him say to the customer he was serving, “Cor, that guy doesn’t look happy — he never is.” Not once have I been rude to him. In fact, I’ve always said hello. This town, and places like this, really know how to make people who are even slightly tanned feel uncomfortable. It completely baffles me, especially considering half of them are happily eating a curry every Friday night. Other aspects like making me wait far too long to verify my age whilst he is serving nobody - when I look over he always says ‘alright alright be patient I’m on it’ never have I rushed or insinuated I am in a rush. Co-op: don’t hire closed minded people - it hurts your brand massively.

Staff are always polite with every food essentials in. We have Co-ops dotted everywhere - handy to avoid 20 minute journey to a local supermarket just for a loaf or milk that we all tend to run out of periodically.

Local to me so visit nearly every other day. Queues can get a little long if you go during the school start or end.

Queue are horrendous here & very rarely do the staff call for help to open another till. Can take over 15 minutes just to pay.
