I was under a tight deadline, waiting on an important delivery, and Matthew went above and beyond to help me out. He took the initiative to look into the order, kept me fully informed, and made sure I had everything I needed in time.    Just popped in to collect a couple of items. I usually forget to do things like this but the staff in the Newbury branch deserve some praise. They always remember my name although I’m sure they serve 1000’s, , if they’re busy themselves they get someone to get my order quickly, always happy to help and just a good friendly team. Thanks

   I had a bad customer experience here a month ago with staff blaming me for their mistake in my order and getting frustrated at me in front of the customers. I put it down to a bad day as we all get them and I’m fully aware of how frustrating dealing with the public can be so I left it. I went back in 2 days ago and it was a bad experience of customer service to me from a different member of staff. He was little help to the chap in front of me with advice or help or to try to answer his questions, just a blank stare like your wasting his time. Then he ignored me completely and served the man behind me. This got sorted but I felt very awkward. Customer service not good that day.

   Served by Janene at screwfix today. Great service. She was knowledgeable regarding the product we were considering buying, she was incredibly polite with a great sense of humour, and took time to answer all of our questions, resulting in us buying a dehumidifier rather than just enquiring about one. A credit to screwfix.

   Pretty good place, I have given it 4 stars as there is either a queue out the door with two staff at tills or it's fine.. also the parking is a bit awkward maybe they could add a mirror or two to help..
