A family run business offering high quality products at very competitive pricing, amazing after sales service and nothing is ever too much trouble. I have purchased beds and furniture from them for well over 25 years and they are always my first go to store. If you’re looking for a new bed, mattress, furniture or carpets, I would definitely recommend you pop in and take a look around. Always good to support local businesses.

   Went in as I was looking for a quote for an insurance company for new flooring. Wanted to support and shop local. Lady told me the gentleman wasn’t in and to come back in the morning. No attempt to help me. Came back the next morning and was told by the lady the gentleman wasn’t there again. I’m not convinced he wasn’t in the back. She said he probably wouldn’t do the quote as it’s insurance and they never get picked for the job as the insurers already have someone in mind. Tried to explain that this wasn’t the case in our situation and that we were choosing where the flooring came from. The lady just kept repeating that he probably wouldn’t do it and wouldn’t let me fully explain. She told me I could come back later but that it was likely he would say no. I didn’t bother going back as I didn’t feel they wanted the custom and I’d already had to take my toddler in there twice. Edit to reply to owner: I understand being busy and needing 5 mins to yourself however to be told to come back at that time by the lady for you not to even come out and speak to me is not very fair, especially as I had made the journey for that purpose. As I tried to explain to the lady we were being paid directly from the insurance and so it was our decision where we buy flooring from.

   Ordered a new bed headboard and bedroom carpet. Staff all very friendly and helpful. They removed old bed (no extra charge) then fitted the carpet and delivered and assembled bed and headboard all in same day. As an elderly couple this was so helpful as we had little or nothing to do. All items are great and just what we needed. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

   We have used James carpets in two of our houses and have always received a friendly service. They take care when fitting the carpets and we haven’t had any issues. Both times from our initial visit to the shop to actually getting the carpets fitted was very quick. Would definitely recommend!!

   Fantastic courteous service. They have an excellent collection of carpets and provide advice on suitability. We were kept advised post ordering timescales. For fitting, they moved furniture and removed the old carpet. Highly recommended, a small local firm...fantastic.
