From the moment we walked in, the ambience was exceptional—flickering candlelight on every table, a welcoming fireplace and even a charming dog station that added to the cosy, upscale vibe. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between posh and inviting. Service was friendly. The fries arrived hot and crispy and the burger was perfectly sized and cooked to perfection—no excess, just quality. But the real showstopper? The sticky toffee pudding. Words genuinely fall short. It was hands down the most divine sticky toffee I’ve ever tasted: rich, indulgent and utterly unforgettable.

The Foundry Bell is such a cozy spot in Wokingham, especially on chilly days. With multiple fireplaces and a classic British vibe, it’s the kind of place you want to settle into. There’s even a little doggy station with water bowls, which is a lovely touch. Outdoor seating’s available too if the sun’s out. The food was alright, but the sticky toffee pudding? Proper delicious. Clean, welcoming, and full of charm—a great British experience all round.

Very nice restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, food and building are both very fancy looking (and tasting). A service fee of 12.5% gets added to your bill, so keep that in mind when looking at the prices. Friendly staff. Jayne (& her blonde colleague) helped us getting all the drinks and food we needed to enjoy ourselves. 10/10 would recommend! Nice bonus: thursday & friday they have a happy hour deal on selected drinks from 4-7pm!

A casual pub dinner far exceeded our expectations in terms of food quality and quantity - so many prawns in the linguine! The service was fabulous, thanks to Holly and Sophia. We had been told there was no Whitebait left so ordered a different starter but then two generous plates of whitebait arrived for us. We were of course very happy with this but were still offered a complimentary glass of wine each due to this slight miscommunication. A really lovely experience sat in the outdoor dining area on a balmy summers evening, with a gentle buzz of conversation around us, plus great food and service. Thanks Foundry Bell.

Decent food for very good prices. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating. My only observation was that because the tables were quite close together, you could hear the conversation on the next table and it gave the atmosphere a very impersonal one. They did have a gluten-free menu with a good amount of choice though. The decor was tastefully done and the toilets were very clean. Worth a visit if you're out with family or friends.

One of the best roasts we’ve ever had out & suggest you ignore any review that says otherwise. We rarely go out for a roast dinner because they’re always sub-par but this exceeded expectations! We ran out of bread for our starter and they gave use extra (twice!), the bread and butter that was delivered as a pre-starter nibble was 10/10 - I could’ve eaten a pot of the butter! Roast dinner was great, beef and chicken was perfect, crispy potatoes (which are rare for a roast dinner out!), lots of veg & extra gravy!

Had a great Christmas meal here! Group of 9 of us had a lovely time! One of the party arrived late, which they catered to and slowed down our mains arriving. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic, great portion sizes and delicious! Would definitely recommend, great new pub!

We visited on a Saturday for late lunch. A group of 12 of us. We all had a great meal. Maddie served us and was brilliant and very patient. Maybe some of the other less favourable reviews were due to teething issues with the place being newly opened, but for us, we had a lovely meal with no complaints. I'm sure we will return.
