Nice and quiet atmosphere, one of the areas had no speakers so quieter which was very helpful with a sleeping baby. Their oven was down so a few options on the menu weren't available but barman was very kind and gave us a 20% discount. Brilliant service
Very nice spot. Significantly quiter compare to other pubs and thats the best feature, because you can relax and talk with your firends without shouting. Also the environment is very cozy and nicely decorated. Staff are accomodative and on the friendly side. Lastly there is pool and darts on the lower ground floor!
I hired the Outlook for a birthday party and cannot recommend it enough! It's a great space and the Shuffle Board and Dart Board are all in the hire price. The booking process was easy and there is great communication both verbally and via email. Nothing was too much trouble and each member of staff I communicated with were always friendly, helpful and totally professional, such a great bunch of people! I also hired Mock Vegas and they had very easy communication with he Outlook too. Definitely aten out of ten! Thank you Outlook for making everything so easy!
Had such a great night at The Outlook for a birthday! Everything was super organised, the drinks list was awesome, and the food was amazing – especially the karaage chicken. Daniel the manager and Avi was so welcoming and really went above and beyond to make the night special. Can’t recommend this place enough, whether you’re just popping in for a drink or planning an event. Thanks heaps for a great night! I also hear DJ Costa sometimes plays there which is unmissable!
Nestles in the heart of Reading, the Outlook has the warmth and charm of a classic British pub. It draws with cosy atmosphere and inviting aroma of delicious pub food. The interior offers a quintessential pub experience. The staff are friendly with special mention to Zack and Jess. The menu is tailored by Danny and gosh it is scrumptious. A place worth visiting and not to be missed. And the best part is the food is reasonable and worth the spend. Truly the best pub food I had for a long time.
We hired the downstairs area (Bar 77) for our wedding reception and it was absolutely perfect. The space is ideal especially with the terrace area and toilets that are completely separate from the main pub. We and all our guests had an amazing time and we had lots of positive feedback on the buffet. The staff were incredible from all those we spoke to for the initial planning and a massive thank you to Natalie, Harry and Louis who were just amazing! Will definitely be back soon!
Excellent venue for my daughter’s 21st. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The party went so well and everyone enjoyed themselves - thanks so much for helping us make the celebrations so good. Also, thanks to one of the staff who helped me take photo boards and other party bits to the car the next day. He was so kind and also complimented the revellers from the night before. Great place, staff and atmosphere and will recommend to anyone wanting to hire a party venue - thank you!
Clean, modern pub with quiet atmosphere on the Monday day night I attended. Friendly staff and comfortable seating, with decked area overlooking the river. Queens Road Car Park is the nearest parking place, just a 5 minute walk.
I've been there in the past but there now a new owner. Portions of Sunday roast were quite small even though they are the most prices item in the menu. Staff was very nice though and we even got to taste done beers before making our choice. Nice place for family meal, always clean. Not busy on a Sunday at lunch time
Lovely atmosphere and beautiful bar. Very spacious with great views to the river Kennet. Good helpful staff.
