    My 73-year-old mother recently visited the Magnet Kitchens showroom in Derby as she is genuinely interested in purchasing a new kitchen. She initially asked a member of staff for some help and guidance with a design and plan. Unfortunately, the gentleman she spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive. He behaved as though my mother was wasting his time, showed little interest in assisting her, and came across as patronising and unprofessional. This was particularly disappointing given that she was polite and simply looking for advice. It was only when he later realised that my mother was serious about buying a kitchen and intended to pay in cash that his attitude suddenly changed and he then offered to help. By that point, my mother quite understandably declined. I find this behaviour completely unacceptable. No customer, especially an older customer should be treated with such disrespect or judged on assumptions. This experience does not reflect the level of professionalism one would expect from a company like Magnet, and it has unfortunately put my family off using them.

    Having 90 mins with their ‘kitchen designer’ we were promised a quote and designs a week later, I then received 4 phone calls asking me if I was interested in an offer, I said fine, but I’d like a quote and design first! Another 2 weeks on I have rang and chased the quote and design and was told I’d have them within a few days! Nothing has ever arrived . I get the impression that unless you submit to the pressure sales and put down a deposit before receiving the design or quote, you are seen as too much like hard work! Poor show, will go elsewhere, what a waste of time!

    Very poor customer service. I located a man in the showroom and he was extremely abrupt. I just had a couple of questions about replacing our existing Magnet cupboard doors and handles. His response to my questions was to 'Google it'. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

    Appalling customer service. Waited half an hour and then when the gentleman was free he went to some people who had just arrived instead of us. We were stood right in front of him for ten minutes waiting for him to be free. We went and chose our kitchen from Wickes instead.

    Excellent service from start to finish. Had a Winchester sage kitchen and appliances on a "dry fit" installation. Had to wait from April to September for the fitting but it was well worth it. Thanks to Mary and Alan in the showroom and to Guy and Paul who fitted the kitchen in 3 days.
