Great atmosphere staff are always happy to help with any questions. very knowledgeable about events products such as spirts real ales food any changes to service.
The most friendliest of staff I have ever come across, so polite, courteous and welcomed you with open arms, I highly recommend a meal here or a drink, on our last night, we tried to get in again but fully booked, and you can actually understand when you visit why
The best blend of food,wide brand of drinks for every taste and an electrifying karaoke night on Thursdays. A clean Victorian setting pub with a hip DJ to boot!

Rude manager and dead atmosphere ruins lovely pub. Within 5 minutes of sitting down, I was asked "you getting a drink mate?" - by his chippy and aggressive tone it was obvious the manager was accusing me of using the pub without buying anything. He walked off with an annoyed look on his face as if I, as a customer, was an inconvenience. I walked over to him and called him out on it, saying that no wonder there were no customers here if he made everyone feel like a nuisance. He looked sheepish and started to get defensive, saying "no other customer is complaining.." - ironically there were about 4 people in the whole pub - if you have no customers, they cannot complain! Haha. Pure comedy gold. I definitely won't be going back. He ran off getting defensive and predictably shirty like people of his type do. The lovely pub with wooden beams could be such a thriving, friendly community place, but unfortunately it is not thriving in the slightest and it is a big shame.
Played a gig here to a very responsive crowd, and had pizza to eat that was very good. The staff were all very welcoming
Dropped in to catch the end of the cricket on a Tuesday evening. Pub was clean and tidy, practically empty. Comfortable seating and a few large flat screens. Service at the bar was quick.
Good traditional pub, mix of craft and cask ales on tap along with lagers, ciders, Guinness, etc. Didn't try the food, but the menu looks good and not too expensive. Big screens for the football, friendly staff and clean toilets. Great spot.
Lovely food, great staff, and a brilliant Guinness. Late night visit as lad was in hospital. They served a lovely hot pizza at 21.30, and put on a fresh barrel of Guinness. Recommended.
