Went for my birthday meal today. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Aimee looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. The food was Superb with big portions and the layout of restaurant was great with so much room and a lovely atmosphere
Often stay here, it really is the best place in the area. Had the Christmas menu today and honestly it was the best turkey dinner I’ve had out! Delicious and plenty of it. The rooms are also great and the breakfast deserves a special mention! Take it from a regular traveler the breakfast is the best I’ve ever had, great selection on offer and all freshly cooked.
We had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Berkshire Arms. The food was very good, and the portion sizes generous. Thick slices of turkey and lots of roast veggies. I just about had room for dessert, which was just as well because the Clementine tart was a great way to finish! Four of our party were stuck in traffic and delayed by an hour but the staff were very understanding and didn't rush us. Our server Anett was absolutely lovely.
Had a lovely meal last week (28th), the food was great and our server Katie was amazing she was polite, friendly and kind to my disabled son, she was attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. She is a credit to the business and we will definitely return.
Had a full meal here, 3 courses. Got the steak and ale pie, full pie, delicious taste, fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. Had the apple tart with alternative custard, wasn't an issue, simple to do. Servers were very polite, gave enough space to eat but also ensured everything was well. Food was served very reasonably. Made to feel very comfortable and the location is wonderful, the pub itself is also very impressive and presentable. Overall a great experience and would definitely go again.
Really nice pub with excellent food. I had the seafood grill which was really tasty, with the caramel banana waffle dessert which I would recommend. We had a lovely server called Becky who was really friendly.
Decor of place is lovely since being refurbished. Menu has changed, and being a fussy eater, I found little I would eat, but that's just my taste. Ended up with a couple of sides. Hubby had turkey with all the trimmings off the special board. Was quite shocked at the price of it when the bill arrived. Would suggest putting the prices on the specials board, especially as pennies are tight and eating out is a luxury to some.
Just called in after their recent refurbishment. 30 day aged rib eye steak was sublime, as good as I’ve had for quite a while. The chicken and ham hock pie was equally tasty. Good prices and friendly staff.
We asked for a corner table and were seated in the snug which was lovely. Andrius was very welcoming and our order was taken by Maria, who I absolutely loved, her happy charisma made you feel like you were at home. The food was great, I loved my steak and my partner liked his burger. Max came over with the bill quickly after asking, and scanned our vouchers, which cleared the whole meal, including drinks! I hadn't been here before but we will definitely be returning! And lots of phonecalls for table bookings I could hear, which means they must be doing something right!! Thank you for a great evening, we will be back soon!
Omg I cannot believe the changes they’ve made. I am in shock! The food is exquisite and the new manager employed the cutest bartenders too. Anyway, the food is to die for and the manager is a real hero! I recommend the pork belly special its chefs kiss mwah. I remember this time last year with the old skinny manager, gosh he was rude! The food was a joke but they have gone and saved the place from the brink and is now a thriving pub! I thought the pub was beautiful but they’re going to refurbish the place! Sign me up I say! I’d like to make a booking for the first day you reopen for a table of 10 please. I’ve called the family from all over town, see you soon ;) xx
