Even though I am not an ice-cream lover, the ice-cream that I had here (white chocolate and raspberry) over the weekend was amazing. Absolutely delicious. The young staff were patient and helpful but I have unfortunately had the experience of the short and sharp manager and it's a shame and not good for the reputation of the place.
I’ve been going here for a while and I’m always super nice and always leave a good tip. Today, I think I finally decided not to go back. First of all there was the stand offish lady with a foreign accent. But then, I ordered a crepe for my friend. It says on the menu that all crepe’s come with a scoop of vanilla gelato and whipped cream. The crepe came out with no scoop of ice cream so my friend mentioned it to one of the staff who was very sweet and said he would fix it. Next, the manager comes stomping over being super spicy about it and insisting it does not come with a scoop of ice cream! Her attitude was super unnecessary. Honestly, if that was my business, I’d have said sorry for the misunderstanding and just given the scoop of ice cream. But no, she made us pay for an extra scoop. Considering how often I go and I ALWAYS leave a tip, this really ticked me off and I won’t be going back!
Arostos has been around for many years now yet it gets no business, the food is ok so whats the problem? THE MANAGER! Everyone i know says “i like arostos but the old lady so horrible!” Its so true! She is always rude, some people say she is homophobic, when i went she forced me add toppings without telling me that it cost extra! Even though its already extremely overpriced! The teenage staff there are lovely, always great service from them, its just ruined by the manager, she always just sits there on a random table with her coke judging everyone, really ruins the atmosphere
Genuinely the best coffee in the area and such lovely staff. The apple tart, sticky ginger cake (when it's in stock - more often please!) and ice cream are all delicious. Not cheap but you're getting quality. I cannot understand the few negative reviews of staff...they work so hard and there maybe a wait at busy times understandably - don't come if you're in a rush and staff are always helpful and polite as long as customers are the same to them. Common sense really! Well done to Jenny and the team.
Difficult to rate honestly, as I only popped in for a coffee while I was waiting for my daughter in Asda. I was very satisfied with the service and the coffee and no cause for complaint. However, I will try to give a more comprehensive report on any future visit.
We had a 2 cappuccino's and a chocolate shortbread slice, coffee was delicious and cake was very moorish, seating is like an American Diner with smart red seating, the lady who served us was a delight and very friendly, we will be back as the coffee was so good.
The staff were so unwelcoming and couldn’t be bothered with their own jobs! The waffles took ages to come out and when they did come out they came out one at a time.
Couldn't decide what to have upon arrival, so I asked the wonderful staff member, if I could mix up an order and have a waffle but add a oreo sundae on to.. and to my surprise the fulfilled the order and it was amazing.. 10/10 effort
