   I found The Automotive Expert when searching the web for a spare smart key for my Mazda 6. I was also fairly local to Basingstoke. I had quotes from a couple of reputable firms on the web and actually the Mazda dealer was cheaper (!) but they were all still what I thought was too expensive. I rang and found Daniele very helpful and knowledgeable and his price was better too, so I booked an apointment for today and he did the job superbly, quickly and professionally. Job done, no fuss and works like a dream. Many thanks - happy to recommend to anyone local to Basingstoke or preapred to travel there.

   We had a problem with a seatbelt and airbag warning light on a Honda Civic which caused the car to fail the MOT. Daniele tracked the fault down to a blown chip and diode in the ECU, amazingly he sourced new components rather than replacing the whole ECU at a fraction of the cost. Great work, very clever man! Can't recommend enough.

   Found this company from a local search as needed a new key for my Honda CBR600 with Honda Ignition Security System (HISS). Not only did he happen to program a brand new key, he had a 1 last spare key and did a deal on two brand new keys (one spare) fully chipped and programmed to my bike! The service was excellent, the job didn’t take too long at all. He was so helpful and the fact he does motorbike keys as well as cars makes this a very versatile company! I will not hesitate to use this company again. Excellent! 5 Stars!!!!

   I've asked Danny for help twice now, and both times he has been amazing! He managed to get my car ecu reprogrammed and the car running again after it spent 6 months at another garage that had zero luck. A couple of days with Danny and it was back on the road! And yesterday, I called and then visited Danny with a small emergency as both my keys fobs were on their last legs, central locking wouldn't work, alarm going off, etc. 1 hour with Danny and I was driving away with a big smile, a brand new key, and a car that was behaving itself again, couldn't ask for more. The man is an absolute wizard with car electronics! I would 100% use him again and also 100% recommend him. Very polite, very knowledgeable, really couldn't ask for for. Once again, thank you Danny, you have my utmost gratitude. Thanks to you, yesterday was a minor glitch, and I can continue working today

   I contacted the Automotive expert on a friday at 2 pm to ask for help. My ignition barrel had seized and the car wouldn't turn off for almost 20 minutes until I managed to turn it. So essentially the car was stuck and I couldn't go anywhere. I was contacted back about half hour later to say they have the parts and if they couldn't get to me that day they'd be out the following morning with a courtesy call before had to let me know they were on the way. Saturday 11am phone call and about half hour later they arrived. Very professional and quick. Sorted the job out. A warning light came on the dash. Investigated to make sure nothing was wrong. Quick test drive later light out car fixed. So grateful for such a quick turn around. I thought I could be without a car for weeks. Thank you again.

   I contacted Dan at The Automotive Expert after the spare key for my Cayenne (2016) stopped working. I had already contacted Porsche who advised that they would charge a £260+ investigation fee and didn't have an appointment with courtesy car until March! Within 15 minutes of arriving Dan told me the problem was sorted, no new key required, and he showed me how to re-sync my key to the car should the problem arise again, and for a very reasonable price indeed... I would absolutely recommend, no hesitation whatsoever
