I recently used the Fox Garage for an MOT and full service. I am delighted with the results. They collected my car and returned it F.O.C.(Thankyou Ben,who explained every penny I had spent to redeem my car to its fullest potential. She now sings and is a delight to drive)I would fully recommend using this company as it has fully restored my faith in the motoring mechanical profession. Fine job.Thank you.

Had a great experience with Fox Garage! Great communication from Ben for the works that I needed done on my car. Very helpful at every step and the work was carried out to a great standard! Will be now using them for MOT's and any other works in the future.

I came here for an MOT recently, after having seen quite a few positive reviews on Google but was sorely misled. Upon completion, I was told that two of my bolts had snapped inside the wheel hub, which would require me to replace the entire hub, and I was quoted £500+. My boyfriend raised concerns and suggested I come home for him to give a second opinion, and I’m glad that I did. The bolts were snapped, that was true, but they were drilled out by his detailer within minutes for no cost, outside of a couple of quid for two new bolts. Perhaps this was a harmless act of laziness from their side, but a part of me feels like they were trying their luck due to me being a woman (commonly clueless regarding mechanics). My car is back on the road (legally) and I saved £500.

Booked service November 2024, writing this review as I've since done a lot of work on my car, so I understand just how badly they tried to rip me off. Here is their service report, with my notes with the benefit of hindsight: For those that don't want all the details, the short version is they told me I needed £1876 of repairs and I did not. When I said I was going to do some of the work myself given the price, Tom became sheepish, as he realised that I knew what he was doing with the upsells that were dishonest. Electrical Horn, Not working £69.00 - it was working, the issue was fixed with battery replacement Electrical Battery, Failed Test £140.00 - CORRECT Electrical Warning Lights, SRS Light on £0.00 - CORRECT Tyres Tyre Condition, OSR, Cords exposed £140.00 - INCORRECT - multiple people incl. a tyre specialist, confirmed the tyres were nowhere near in need of replacement. Tyres Tread, NSR, Worn £140.00- INCORRECT, same as above Brakes Discs, Front, Worn £300.00 - INCORRECT, brake discs did not need replacing - I was advised that they would pass MOT but were worth replacing proactively, though this would be too proactive as they have life left. Brakes Discs, Rear, Worn £290.00 - INCORRECT, same as above Brakes Brake Fluid, Check History £59.00 - CORRECT Mechanical Air Conditioning, Check History £179.00 - CORRECT Mechanical Pollen filter, Check History £49.00 - INCORRECT - it's very clean, though fair enough as extra add on Mechanical Fuel Filter, Check History £100.00 - CORRECT Suspension Springs, OSF, Corroded £95.00 - UKNOWN - did not resolve squeaking issue, but it's not necessarily their fault. Suspension Springs, NSR, Corroded £95.00 - UNKNOWN - same as above. Tyres Tyre Condition, OSF, Wear on edges £80.00 - INCORRECT - not even close Tyres Tread, NSF, Worn £140.00 - INCORRECT - not even close Tyres Tread, OSF, Worn £0.00 - INCORRECT - note even close.

Wouldn’t go back, unfortunately. Mechanic tried to convince me I needed a new fuel filter and cabin filter (amongst other things) when I had literally replaced them a few days before doing my own service, so he obviously hadn’t even looked to see that they were brand new. Would love to give him the benefit of the doubt but by the looks of these reviews looks like it’s a recurring theme at this garage. MOT and brake fluid change was fine but a bit of disappointing experience.

Excellent service. They always pick up and drop my car for no extra charge which is very helpful for getting the car done while working from home. Reasonable pricing.

Been using fox for about 7 years. Booked my car 2 weeks in advance for 8:30 MOT and standard service. Before the date I replied to their emails twice on different days and contacts to ask if the car could be ready B4 11am as otherwise I would have a good hours walk instead of my usual lift but both bounced back. Dropped the car off at 8:25 and asked the same question of the person on reception. Reply was no promises but with it being here this early it's likely to be done before 11am we'll call you. At 12:30 I called and was told half the job was done and we'll call you. At just 12:45 I had to start walking because otherwise I might not get there before they close at 2pm. I arrived quicker than I thought to find the car was already done and whilst I was in reception they called my home saying the car was ready. If I hadn't already left this didn't leave me enough time to collect before they closed. All in all a very stressful experience, they couldn't have been less helpful on this visit making me consider another garage in future.

Had my Corsa in for a service and MOT in July that of which I reported a juddering sensation in the vehicle whilst accelerating. Apparently this was investigated with a full diagnostic and I was told my car was fine and nothing to worry about. Barely two months later the car was seriously misfiring to the point it could’ve potentially caused an accident. I managed to take the car to a reliable mechanic who confirmed that 3 out of 4 of the spark plugs had disintegrated into ash and the coil pack had to be replaced. (I took the one remaining spark plug and coil pack as evidence of this too) Fox’s then had the cheek to text me today saying that further work must be completed on my vehicle. I queried this text message over the phone and complained about the neglectful service that was completed on my car, I.e the failure to check the spark plugs as per my request due to the juddering. To my annoyance the boy on the phone told me that ‘diagnostics can change in 2 months’. I then specified that 3/4 of my spark plugs were ash at this point and explained my coil pack had to be replaced as well. I also retorted that if my coil pack was failing, which it would’ve been at the point of the service then it would show on the diagnostic machine as this was confirmed by the mechanic I took it to. The carelessness shown by the garage is appalling, I feel like I was lied to and I feel like a misfire is such a common problem that could’ve been easily avoided. I will be going to Santos Car Repairs on Bridge Road in Camberley for all my vehicle queries and custom from now on.

Very professional team. They are fast, reliable and most welcoming on top of that. My car was sorted every time no matter what kind of problem I was there for. I would not change my garage despite I moved out of the area. Special thanks to John for being friendly and proffesional!
