Never tried the food here before so thought I would give it a try. Decided to have a roast dinner, which I was very disappointed with. Beef was really tough and chewy, wasn’t carved beef at all, it was triangle cuts of beef that were thick and chewy. Definitely pre packed beef and heated, couldn’t eat it. Veg was solid and had a job to cut it. The only thing that tasted lovely were the carrots! Very disappointed as I thought, nice little pub and nice home cooked food, but it clearly wasn’t. £13 for a roast that wasn’t edible. Nobody came to ask if the food was ok.

The lunchtime menu is good value for money and it's great to have a good local pub but... it's so cold with no heating on! Not pleasant at all. This is the second time in a few weeks that I've been there at lunch time and the heating hasn't been on. I mentioned it last time but nothing was done.

Visited for lunch today. Great value. Had Roast Turkey on special menu £6. My wife and her sister had Tuna and pasta bakes and plum crumble for desert. Will Visit again.

We visited yesterday evening primarily for a meal. We had a lovely evening. Top marks for the food, we had the lasagne, pork and mash and fish and chips and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals which showed as there was nothing left on our plates! The food was good value. The bar staff were really friendly and the service was prompt and efficient. The pub is cosy and has a country feel to it. We won prizes in the meat draw which topped off our evening. Definitely will go again and fully recommend without hesitation.

So disappointed with the Plumb, a complete disaster, they failed to deliver on the Christmas dinners, diners went on home with empty tummies. The starter was so late and the main course and sweets didn't even turn up !! So 1 star for that because we can't give a zero but sadly this Christmas Do was a non-starter. We'll never return !!

Came in for a Sunday roast today and the food was vile. I used to love going to the plumb so really unsure if there is a new chef or not but the potatoes were rock hard, you couldn't even cut through them. The rest of the roast dinner you couldn't even taste through the gravy, worst roast I've EVER had. I will never return and it's a real shame.

Back to our proper local with Rusty and Rob in control. Ales are superb, but have some guest ciders, which are perfect in the heat. No food until September, which is a bit disappointing. However, great atmosphere and highly recommended. Support you local if you can!
