   I am not kidding when i give 5 stars to food service and atmosphere. These guys know how to set a vibe, menu and provide a homely service. The food is to die for fish is a must try. Cocktails on point. Went here for my graduation celebration and a once on a random night. I was well fed and looked after. This place is true gem away from the crowds and noise. Pure class act ♥️✨

   Many thanks for a wonderful family Christmas dinner. The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. You really can’t beat an open fire. It’s a very popular pub which is always a good sign. We were NOT disappointed! Shout out to Beth, our wonderful main waitress. There were a lot of us, spread over numerous tables, the food arrived promptly and we never ran dry of drinks….we all had a great time. Shout out to Lisa, the manager. She runs a very tight ship and all the staff are really well trained. She was also very welcoming… Final shout out to the chefs…what can I say other than, we’ll be back…! John, Philippa and family.

   Wonderful Sunday lunch - table for four on a very busy day - faultless service and delicious food. Throughly enjoyed our roasts and desserts. Special mention to Beth — delightful & efficient service, and grateful for the care in taking our group photo. Wonderful day all round. Photos are pork belly & the mini chocolate brownie which I enjoyed with coffee.

   The Cowherds came recommended by the staff at the hotel we were staying and we were not disappointed. The food was awesome and the staff were very friendly and service-oriented. It was a beautiful day in Southampton so we were able to enjoy their outdoor seating and do a little people-watching. Will definitely enjoy pub the next time we are visiting Southampton.

   An absolute gem! A beautiful original pub that offers a variety of dishes, the burgers are delicious. The service is excellent. Every little corner is cozy, there are fire places in different areas. I will go back next time I am in Southampton.

   Nice veggie Sunday roast but didn’t match the menu. Menu stated there will be roasted pumpkin seeds and no Yorkshire pudding hence why I ordered one Yorkshire pudding as an add on. Came with 2 Yorkshire puddings so not sure what happened there. Nevertheless, really nice food.

   Quite liked the new menu, had the beef rib which was good. The potatoes lyonnaise were excellent. Mushroom and cheese side was not cheesy enough for my taste, quite indifferent. Overall, nice experience and service.

   Visited today for a roast dinner. Food was incredible. We had starter, main and pudding and everything was fantastic! The service was brilliant, food came out quickly and the staff were really on it. We had a lovely table near the window at the front with our little doggy . They have doggy treats, water bowls and blankets for the dogs! We will definitely be returning soon.
