Great pub, a little tucked away but so glad we've found it. Great atmosphere, lovely cosy feeling pub but it's actually pretty big. The roast was delicious, lots of choices for adults and kids and it's dog friendly too The staff went above and beyond and were sure to check we had everything we needed. Even the music was good, tonnes of solid classics Will be visiting again very soon!

Lovely hidden family run pub! Felt very welcomed into their pub by the owner and her children that run it. Me and the kids loved the home cooked food we ordered also...and my kids can be fussy but they thoroughly enjoyed then chicken nuggets and chips and the mac and cheese! The garlic bread is a win also!! Looking forward to returning soon!

We went to the pub a few days ago for dinner and absolutely loved it, the fish was crispy and the staff was so lovely. So we went back for the Sunday roast, I had the veggie roast and it was so comforting and delicious. And all of it for a very fair price. Would definitely recommend and go again :)

We had a lovely family meal here on 3/5/25. It was very quiet which was abit of a shame as this pub used to be so so busy. We had started and mains. The food was lovely and arrived hot which I love. I had the chilli this was amazing infact the best I have ever had in a pub the obly thing I could say is the rice to chilli ratio was not right although I made this work. If you like spicy this is amazing if not add the sour cream although spicy did not affect the taste and I like spice so it was perfect for me. Good value and the food was lovely. I would recommend and deffo be visiting again. We need to make this pub busy again or we will loose it. Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble and really friendly and helpful. The locals were friendly too and happy to have a conversation which was lovely. Such a lovely old time pub with lots of character and a lovely outdoor space in a built up area. I cannot wait to go again such a friendly pub.

It's great again. Good beers, updated regularly, red stripe on tap. Food is as it has always been for the last millennia. Good pub food and not £15+ a pop like some other places. Very reasonable. We had an issue with our order and the staff bent over backwards to get it right. And even gave my son a little treat.

Superb steak and chips. Quality 2nd to none. Also ordered a chicken burger with chips. Came without salad but asked for a side and no hesitancy. They produced a fresh lovely side salad. Lovely staff. Nothing to much trouble. Highly recommend. Always been a lovely pub and even with new owners has the same welcoming local feel. Thankyou the Crown. Xxx

Met with friends for lunch and as it was Wednesday we had the 2 curries for £17.95. Good choice. My husband and his friend had the beef madras, my friend had lamb Rogan Josh and I had the chicken tikka. All excellent with poppadums and naan. Would recommend.

Got there today the 25th of October 2022 ordered something to eat why we was waiting to deside what to eat a man who I thought was the owner was rude when his black lab came over to me then we ordered are food all off us went for the all day brunch and payed to double it all up it took over an hour for it to come out to us when they wasn't even busy my daughter found a gray hair in her food and are food was missing certain bits on one off are plates. When we asked about it they then said its because they had ran out of them items when they should of let us no and not just bring it to us hoping we didn't notice. and my wife and one of are daughter now have food poisoning I would give this minus stars but the lowest I can give it is a one star we will definitely not be going again very disappointed ( but the bar main was nice and polite)

First visit since covid restrictions ended. Used to love eating here, but disappointed in our meals this time. Food wasn't hot, not helped by being served on cold plates. Burgers were burnt. Love the atmosphere of the pub so will give it another go sometime
