   Visited on the 20/8, lovely Micropub with a great selection of beers to try. The man working was really friendly and helpful, the decoration and detail is really cool. The menus on the table are a great thing, having a short description of the beers on offer makes that hard job of choosing from so many a little easier! What a brilliant spot to spend a few hours enjoying great beers!

   Great little place, lots of character and quirky. Visited Sat 19 Jul 25. Didn't get 5 stars for a couple of reasons; Firstly, the beer menu is right by the door and nowhere near the bar area. Customers choosing beer end up blocking the door for incoming/ exiting customers. There is no defined bar area and customers queuing for beer get confused with those queuing for the loo (and vice versa). The shouty, short haired bar person kept yelling at customers to shut the door as the AC was on.... i suggest they either put up a polite sign, install a door closer, or turn the AC off (it wasn't very effective to be honest).

   This place is absolutely fantastic and my partner and I find ourselves in here more often than we’d like to mention because of it. It is only a 40 minute walk from our house, so works perfectly when incorporating it with a weekend walk. Plus it’s the only drinking hole worth visiting locally. The staff are all wonderfully welcoming and friendly and will always offer you helpful recommendations. There beer section is forever changing, hence why the regular visits too as it keeps enticing you back in!

   Get the one negative out of the way, like most independent ale houses it's probably too small but apart from that it's fairly great. Good selection of drinks, decent prices and friendly staff. Going to make more of a effort to pop in more often.
