The crisps and nuts are first rate. Seriously this is the pubbiest pub in Romsey, run by a brilliant landlady. Fancy it ain't, but well worth a visit.
A lovely traditional English pub. Friendly and welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, clean toilets, lovely and cozy outdoor seating area with cover. Mature and friendly clientele. Highly recommend a visit. My wife and I have already decided that this pub will be our "go to" pub next time we are in Romsey.
Lovely friendly place. Nice old style pub. Staff friendly and welcoming. They have Live music on here. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Situated in Romsey town centre. Would go again and recommend
Basic boozer could be good for a afternoon pint, but a frosty reception of a bar lady who clearly didn't want to be there. I'm not a local, if I was I may have got a more friendly welcome, I tried some banter but blank looks back. Ale was OK...Tribute and small wine over 10 quid pricey. The Star nearby was much better and 2 quid cheaper.
Top notch pub. Great atmosphere and service. A must for anyone who loves real pubs.
A proper pub, good bear and a nice fire!
Very old pub with just the one bar - but it has a welcoming real fire for the winter! Good selection of beer, friendly staff, right in the middle of the town.
Such a lovely pub. A real pub to pop into for a drink and chat with whoever is around.
Went there at the Beggar's Fair in Romsey with my friends. As expected it was packed. I usually frequent the Tudor Rose when I visit Romsey due to the friendliness of the staff.
