    My 1st time here and wow was it good. We were warmly welcomed by holly the manager and seated in the snug area. Although it was busy it wasn't overly noisy. We had a lovely waitress kinga who was helpful and attentive. I had the xmas turkey with all the trimmings and it was fantastic. Im very fussy about Brussels sprouts but these were perfect as were all our meals. The atmosphere was really good and the decor is different to most places ive been to but its really great. Big thanks to Sam and gafoor the 2 chefs who did themselves proud. Price wise very good value for money and I will definitely be going back again.

    First time trying a Sunday dinner here, certainly won't be the last, it was all superb. Mash and roast pots (very important for me) succulent chicken, plentiful veg, big fluffy yorkie and even cauliflower cheese! Perfect ❤️

    We visited the pub today for a Sunday roast and had an absolutely fantastic experience. A huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful waitress, Jessica. When we arrived, she was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She balanced between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal, checking in at just the right moments. Nothing was too much trouble. Her cheerful attitude and excellent service help make our visit one to remember. Thank you for looking after us so well—we’ll definitely be back!

    Good pub, large choice of taps, the decor is cool, service is great. We went for the Sunday roast, all the trimmings were ok, however the “roast beef” was just a beef steak sliced up. Our table of 4 were very disappointed!

    As of September 25 this is now a Shiny Brewery location. Great to see it reverted to a proper pub. Bustling at the weekends with friendly staff. Hidden away 2 minutes walk from the centre of Duffield it is a 'destination' pub well worth seeking out. Enjoy. M

    Called in for a drink to see what they had done with the refurbishment. Nice decor. Checked out the menu, hugely overpriced for the type of restaurant. This is a pub in a back street with no parking and should be priced accordingly. I fear it will not survive unless it has a change of direction.

    The Pattenmakers is a gem of a place. Currently under new management after being closed for a while I think it warrants support. Always a friendly welcome and hopefully it will get back to its glory days and thrive.

    Exceedingly good pub. Great staff great beer. Never had a bad pint yet from the patten. Offers new guest ales on a regular basis. Free hire function room. New owners doing a great job. Look forward to see where they take the pub.
