A decent enough pub which has seen it's fair share of changes. However, the overly loud genre of music neither suits the pub or it's patrons.
This pub, sports bar, restaurant has an eclectic mix of patrons all adding to it's broad appeal. The bar is very well stocked with plenty of choice of beers ales & ciders. Wine & cocktails too although these are a bit pricey. To counter this there is a happy hour from 15:00 with a selection of beers for £3.50 Sky sports is on all the time & the mix track is ok if a bit loud.
Went for Sunday lunch, loads of food & top quality. Very attentive waitresses, will definitely be going back
Bistro food and service 1st class. The acoustics made it a little to noisy for my liking. Will definitely visit again at a quieter time.
Very good authentic Italian restaurant. Wines from the central region of Italy. We used to go to the cantina's when we lived out there.
Had the carbonara, my favourite dish of all time and was incredibly disappointed. It was absolutely swimming in oil, never seen something so bad. The taste made me feel sick, tasted like dirty oil and the sauce had separated. Someone else I was with had the carbonara too and there's didn't have the oil issue like mine however they did spend the next 24-48 hours with food poisoning and now the sight of carbonara makes them ill. As also one of the most expensive carbonaras I've had (and I've had them in italy too) it was also the most disappointing after hearing such great things about Angelos. Also the price of a blackcurrant soda was extortionate.
Absolutely amazing. Booked here for a 70th on a recommendation and it couldn't have been better. The food was brilliant and the staff where great too. We will be back.
