   Genuine kindness and professionalism in a difficult situation I would like to sincerely thank Formula One Autocentres – Southampton (West Quay Road) for their outstandingly kind and professional approach. After someone damaged the valves on two wheels of my Honda CR-V, I found myself in a very difficult situation and was unable to continue driving. I came to this branch, explained what had happened, and was met with genuine understanding and empathy. A member of the team took the time to help me, assisted with removing the wheels, and dealt with the issue calmly and professionally. There was no pressure, no attempt to upsell — just real help when it was truly needed. This experience showed me that this is a place where people understand that anyone can suddenly find themselves in a tough situation. Thank you for the professionalism, kindness, and human approach. I would highly recommend this branch and will definitely return in the future.

   I had commuted down to Southampton and on the way I heard my exhaust blowing. I rang formula one straight away and I was told to head straight over and they will look asap. Upon arriving I was greeted by Doug who instantly put the car on the ramp and took a look and rang me back within 20 minutes with quote and said he could fix it same day and have it done within hours depending on parts delivery, which was really good especially considering it was a Saturday. 3-4 hours later I received a call saying it was all fixed and that I could come and pick it up. On pickup the payment was reasonable with most of the cost being the parts and a reasonable price for the labour considering it was the same day check and repair and at such short notice. Thank you to Doug and the formula one team for being so kind and helpful and getting me back on the road for my long commute home.

   I brought my car to Formula One Autocentres after a warning light came on. They charged £49.99 to diagnose an EGR fault and told me to drive it around. The next day the light came back, and they said it was a manifold and EGR issue, recommending a £315 cleaning instead of replacing parts, which I was told would cost £1000-£2000 for the part only excluding any labour cost. After paying for the cleaning, the warning light reappeared within two days. I later found out the EGR hadn’t even been cleaned because it was “hard to access,” yet I was still charged the full price. They promised to call with a proper quote but never did. Another garage confirmed the real fault was with the EGR and quoted £235 for the part and 187 for labour to fix it. The job was done, the warning light doesn't appear again. I went back F1 Autocentre and complained about the overcharge. However the staff said they didn't charge me about the second and third diagnosis. What? It means they can keep charging me the diagnosis cost if they can't fix my car. I feel I was misdiagnosed, overcharged, and misled about the work done. Very disappointed and not satisfied with the customer service.

   Booked two new tyres online for fitting in Southampton. Very easy booking process with 30 minute slots. Discount vouchers online were GREAT. Ended up getting almost £35 off each tyre AND getting balancing the tyres credited back as well so ended up with £85 discount. Guys in Southampton were courteous and welcoming. Advised when the car would be done by (allowing time for a quick shopping trip) and was ready when I got back. Highly recommend using F1. I've used them now for the last 3 years. EXCELLENT
