Fitted the tyres ok. Couldn't clean off the foam backing where the old weights are... So I spent my time cleaning it off myself. May seem minimal to some but it is apart of the job, so I am paying for something that isn't happening. You'd expect the people to take pride in their work. Clearly not

Two rear tyres ordered Saturday for Tuesday pickup. Not arrived on Tue due to bank holiday Mon, but offered better tyres for same price. Received call 45 mins later as there was 'metal on metal' contact on front pads and discs, despite not booking an MOT or any service besides rear tyres change. New pads were on the way for me without me asking for any. Turned this down to get a second opinion, and ordered my own brake pads and discs for upcoming MOT. Turned out to be money wasted with 5mm left on brake pads, a clear pass on MOT and likely another year of driving when told I shouldn't even drive the car out of their garage. Real shame as the tire service was excellent, but seems they couldn't resist a scam. Won't be coming back.
Came for an MOT, went on the website and booked it and got a discount code which made is almost half price. Car passed with some advisories which they said would be fine for a couple of weeks and offered a price to rectify there and then but without pushing me into a decision. Convient location give access to the shops.

Purchased MOT along with wheel alignment check through Groupon. First impression wasn’t welcoming. I Left car with them. 1.5 hrs later I was informed that the car had failed the MOT due to a needed New arm fitted and it costs about £175. They had no time to repair it same day. I told them I’ll call them later , in less than 1 hour I called and booked for repair next day at 5 pm. I took the car to garage next day considering the bad weather. Less than 20 minutes got a call asking it has not been repaired ? I booked for repair no it’s retest booked and they close in 10 minutes while I was at least 20-30 minutes away. Got the car and booked for Monday REPAIR! Took car to garage after about 40-50 minutes later got a call they couldn’t find wheel lock key, I asked them if you needed why you didn’t ask me while I was there? 20-30 minutes walk back with stress I was 100% sure that it was in car because of too much pressure and stress I couldn’t find the key either took car to see if it is home or not. My partner find it in the car. It was repaired and MOT retested. Find wheel alignment needed, I asked it’s included in MOT price, they said just the test not repair !!! What a complete waste of time !!! Unpleasant experience will never return again and I’m deff not recommending 37 City Industrial Estate, Southern Rd, Southampton SO15 1HG to anyone
First experience at Pro Tyre and I cannot recommend it enough. I had huge difficulties finding proper winter tyres and a gragae that could supply them for an upcoming trip, but Andy went well out of his way to source a set for me within a day. Upon arriving, the battery in my car gave up and died, and these guys managed to source and replace it for me by midday. Fantastic service.
Have been coming to pro tyre for couple of years now doing MOT and other bits and bobs and the service is always spot on. Always quick, professional and for a good price. I have tried numerous other garages and I have never received service like I did from pro tyre. Their free checks are also very useful and great reassurance. Would definitely recommend for anyone struggling to find a good garage in the Soton area.
