   Bit late but went to see to have breakfast with santa on the 13th and we'll what can I say it was incredible for the kids, the food was amazing too. The santa took time to speak to each kid and made sure they was talking back too he was amazing will be coming back everyone

   Had the Xmas menu, which had to be booked ahead, but found the food a bit of a disappointment. Turkey was ok but packet roasties, frozen veg put a bit of a dimmer on this Xmas meal. The pie/prawns etc were ok, but the chef really needs to pull his finger out and get some fresh veg/potatoes sorted. The whole experience was somewhat lacklustre. Our waitress was lovely, but very overstretched. The evening barstaff was very much 'whatever'. Won't be getting my custom anytime soon.

   Can't praise the establishment & the staff enough here, they go out of their way every time we come here. We come here for a quiet meal for two, or for our parties. We got to know the staff really well. No matter what your query or problem, the staff go above and beyond and sort it out straight away. Thank you for always looking after us, best place in Derby.

   What a spectacular trip to the Argosy. The staff were welcoming to our large party and seated us quickly. The food came out in good time, and it was very nice. The drinks were also good. The dessert (brownie) was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful with every request. Overall, a great trip thanks to the great service and quality of food.

   We went twice last week week. Great food, good range to choose from, including some healthy options. Large portion sizes. Only down side is that both times, it took around 40 minutes for food to arrive, so it is a little slow on service.

   I ate here a few weeks ago, I had the macdaddy medium rare and ordered some drinks to come with it. The food was fantastic however the baby guiness shots really let the place down. I was also very weary of setting up a tab knowing that 1 of the staff on has been involved in a scandal with an ex shift leader for adding drinks to there tab.

   Thank you for hosting my daughters birthday celebration. We had a fantastic evening. The food was faultless and although it was a big order cooking for 22 of us, the food all came out together and was piping hot. The staff were so attentive. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked my granddaughter’s birthday here for next week. Thanks again

   Me and the wife had a meal here today. Food wasnt very nice at all. All the veg was cooked to death and bland. Asked for my steak med~well and came out over well and dry. Not been here for ages and food was never any good.

   A good pub this. However, they missed 5 stars as we booked the Xmas menu online, a few days in advance. They didn't have half of this menu when they rang us 1 hour before we were booked. Just went to the bar to set up a tab, order drinks as they had the pre order. We had timed or visit nicely before the inundation. Brie wedges were nice, Korean chicken goujons good, steak lovely and hot if a teeny bit tough, onions soo much better than the flaming grill alternative. My wife's festive burger was fabulous, taking the best festive burger crown at this price point. I love a Sundae, even on a Thursdae, apologies to Niven and Pournelle for stealing there gag. The Cadburys one substitute on the festive menu was a good egg, the salted apple crumble was well average. Have to compliment the team who worked their socks off, and extremely efficient service from the kitchen too. Many thanks for a great value night out
