   Booked in with Direct 4 X 4 for side steps for the Land Rover Discovery 5. On the day of the fitting arrived at the premises to be greeted by staff member waiting with the brackets and seat cover for the car, ready to go. They took the keys and let me go into the showroom where another colleague helped me to choose my ideal steps. Though I had narrowed them down to two steps. Seeing them in the flesh was even better. Direct 4 X 4 staff helped me choose the best steps for my needs and the vehicle. We then sat in the comfy heated waiting area which has hot drinks available and within 50 minutes we were all set and ready to go. Best customer service I have received in any car showroom or garage. Definetly recommended to anyone considering side steps running boards for their car. Customer service is second to none. Thank you Direct 4X4

   Disappointed with the quality. I purchased the Freedom Running Boards for my BMW X5 E70 for around £250. The Boards are less than 16 months old and they have already started to flake off on the top finish. I contacted for advice only to be told that as they are out of warranty there isn't anything they can do but did offer to sell me a replacement board at a discounted price. Given the quality of the current set, I suspect I would be faced with the same issue 16 months down the line. For what they are, I would have expected much better quality. The Boards look good but that's about it. I was not provided any fitting instructions so had to chase that up and the Boards do come loose every now and then so have to tighten them up. I purchased them more for practicality than looks as my kids are young but so soon into ownership, this problem should not occur.

   I wanted to put some runner boards on my Honda CRV, and not being sure which ones were the correct ones for my vehicle, I rang and spoke to Rebecca, who went above and beyond to ensure I purchased the correct ones. Delivery only took 24hrs from the time I rang, and they were extremely well packaged, and the instructions were to the letter. Really helpful professional company, where nothing seems too much trouble. Thankyou Direct 4x4, especially Rebecca. I'm really happy with how they look, and they were easy to fit, just over 90 minutes start to finish. 10/10, great company.

   Called Direct 4x4 after being recommended by a friend who also used them in the past. The service and details of information provided was fantastic. I paid over the phone and booked up 2 week later based on work. I was received at reception on the day and got to see the steps beforehand as I was torn between the 2 steps designs. Anyway picked a design and drove the car around the block to the garage who was going to fit them. The issue was despite showing one in stock they could not find them. The next issue was the 2nd option was not the best fit for the Q7 and i was honesty told this by the fitters. Both PJ performance (fitters) and Direct 4x4 helped me solve the issue and strongly recommend the more expensive ones after I said the steps are not only for looks but more for kids to climb in to. DIRECT 4X4 DID NOT CHARGE me a penny extra to upgrade to the more expensive option as good will. Gary and Rebecca (I think) both lovey people, me and Gary spoke about his passion for motor bikes. I would go back and highly recommend them. I so glad I went with the Raptors, good step space and more stronger.

   What a lovely company. Right from the beginning of trying to decide what roof rack I should choose, a friendly team of staff were on hand to help me decide. After I had chosen, the delivery was very quick. The overall assembly of my product was quick and easy. And most important, it makes my Land Rover look so much better. Would recommend Direct 4x4 any day, and will be using them again.

   Would give them -5 stars but unfortunately there is no option to give less than 1 star. Bought some "stainless-steel" sidebars. After only 1,5 years the (stainless steel ???) bars started to dripping a brownish rusty liquid. Contacting Direct4x4, they were happy to tell me that the warranty period had just expired (which is wrong according to EU customer protection law!). They suggested cleaning the bars with a soft cloth, drilling some holes so the rust could drain and this would stop the rusting process (they have NO idea!!). On their German web-page they indicate that the bars are made of Q235A steel, on their UK web-page they call it "stainless steel" and in an e-mail they told me the bars are made of SUS304 steel…(FYI: the chemical compositions of these 3 types of steel are completely different…) There is no doubt that Direct4x4 is lying straight into their customers faces. Their products are cheap and rotten, they manufacture in cheap South African factories and have NO control at all about the quality of their products and they do NOT care about customer satisfaction. My recommendation: stay away from this company!

   What an amazing place! Drove here from Brighton to have my new 'High Flyer' side steps fitted to my Range Rover. Well worth it. It was one of the best customer service experiences we've ever had. Recommending routes to take into the City while we waited and even giving us directions to our destination for the afternoon. As for the steps themselves, absolute quality. Look far far better than anything Land Rover can offer, at a fraction of the price. Well done lads!
