My little boy is a nightmare for having his haircut, to the point where I could no longer do it myself (I am a hairdresser!) however Hayley is absolutely fantastic with my little boy. His haircut is always lovely. Definitely recommend!
The place is good for kids who are afraid of scissors, but the staff lacks knowledge of haircut styles. Every visit leaves us disappointed with how they cut my 3-year-old's hair. They don't seem experienced and often cut it haphazardly. I hope they receive some training to improve their skills.
Really patient and do a great job with young kids, even if they are unsure. We have been taking our son for awhile now and Hayley has done a great job at making him feel comfortable with haircuts. We have moved outside of Reading now but keep coming back.
Highly recommended this place. My son always used to go mad going to have his haircut. He was getting worse everytime we went. The 1st time in kool Kidz he was the complete opposite. He loves getting his haircut now. Amber is amazing. Very calm and patient. It's a salon set out for kids. I wouldn't take my son anywhere else.
There was a setup for kids to play while waiting. Cutting was done in a car chair so my daughter was distracted, parking behind the shop. Haley was friendly and my 2 year old liked her.
Unfortunately like the other negative comments on here, I personally didn’t have a great experience too. I wasn’t going to leave a review on here however I did get an email to rate Kool Kidz Kutz and as the owner wasn’t happy with my rating decided to drop me a really long and upsetting email. I had a very anxious child and I personally didn’t feel the service and the haircut was exceptional. Children are unpredictable and I am sure through your 32 years of service, you would know that!
We need one of these in Bracknell! Visited for my toddlers first ever haircut, staff were lovely, cars are brilliant and love the fact it's so friendly for children. My son felt as ease as soon as he got there. Thank you! ☺️
The most amazing service, the hair stylist couldn’t of been more incredible with my daughter for her first hair cut who can be very nervous around new people and doesn’t like things near her face so the appointment could of been a disaster but the wonderful setting mixed with the great staff and the appointment went perfectly, what could have been a very stressful time was actually a lovely experience. We will 100% be back.
Best children's hair cut in Reading, in my opinion. Friendly, patient staff. Still using decent covid measures, as well. Toys for the kids whilst waiting, fun toy car type seats for them to sit in whilst having the hair cut. Reasonably priced.
My 2 year old had his first haircut here and it was great! The staff were really laid back and kept my son entertained which made it less stressful for both of us. I felt like we were really well looked after and was very happy with the end result. I had originally tried to book online but there were no appointments available for a couple of weeks so I rang up on the off chance and was able to get a cancellation appointment for the next day, which was ideal.
